O Sparkly Christmas Tree!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving holiday and shared it with the ones you love most! Mine was spent with my family and we had such a wonderful time! After a week of preparing and cooking though, it feels good to get back to crafting!

The Sparkle and Shine challenge is still on at the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog and I couldn't resist making another sparkly card! I stamped three of the 'O Christmas Tree' adorable bottle trees onto card stock and topped them each with a bright star. Then all of the images were stamped again in Versamark Watermark ink and embossed in clear glitter for super shine!

The sentiment was layered over a red polka dot background strip and the small trios of polka dots were also stamped in red to match! A sweet and simple Christmas card! This will also be entered into the SSS Monday Challenge: 'O' Christmas Tree!

Feathers Two Ways!

Hi everyone! I have two cards today, both created for the new Color Throwdown Challenge in soothing shades of gray, yellow, blue and green! I started out by die-cutting some feather shapes and couldn't decide which I liked better so I decided to show them both!

The first card features the feathers die-cut from white card stock and colored with Distress Inks and stencils. I layered these over a soft gray background that also has a muted stamped image. For contrast, I stamped the sentiment in black and added in black hemp cord as well!

The feathers for the second card were die-cut from colored card stock and then texture embossed for visual interest. I inked the edges a bit so they would really stand out against the white background which was also embossed in dots and highlighted with some simple twine. I split up the front panel using a bracket die and only partially embossed the bottom piece to leave room for a sweet sentiment!

Freshly Squeezed!

Hi everyone! I have two cards to share today! The images from the Concord & 9th 'Hugs' stamp set are so adorable, I just couldn't stop at one! Plus, the color combo of this weeks Color Throwdown fit perfectly with the design! I actually think it was the pictures of the mimosas that got me thinking citrus!!

I started by watercoloring the stamped images and knew I wanted them against a background of bright green. Once dry, I added in some Wink of Stella clear  glitter accents for a bit of sparkle and then layered them onto the background. The sentiment is stamped in 'Barn Door' distress ink and a few sequins are sprinkled about.

While the watercolor images were drying, I decided to create another card with Copic colored images. I first embossed the sentiment in bright green and then added embossed images of the citrus slices in orange and red. I added more Wink of Stella clear glitter after they were colored in with the Copic markers! To add in more of the pretty green, I gave the card a bit of ribbon and shiny green sequins!
