TSG162

Hi everyone.  A quick post for challenge 162 at There She Goes Stamps!  I have admired (wanted) TSG stamps for a while now and I just recently purchased my first sets.  They are so cute and I took this challenge opportunity to create a card for my husband.  Our anniversary is right around the corner and he sees all of the cards I make for everyone else so I knew I had to make one for him too!  This is a big anniversary for us!! 25 years!  I can't believe it has been so many years.  I am still crazy in love with this man and I love our life together:) Here is to another 25 years!

Anyway, on to my card....  I used the TSG 'Float My Boat' set and the designer paper is Theresa Collins 'Everyday Moments'.  I stayed pretty true to the sketch- just adding a tag with the bow.  I love the color combo of blue and yellow and I just wanted to add a touch of red.  The image was colored with Copic markers and I made the dog 'spotted'.  Too cute!

Of course the inside is blank for all of the lovey things I will write to him.  In fact, I am sure this one space will not be enough and I will have to write on the top and the back....  and then just tell him all the things I want to!

Wine for Friends!

Hi everyone!.  Happy Friday!  Hope you all have a great summer weekend!  I have a beautiful gift set to show you  today.  I made this for some friends of ours who invited us to stay with them this past weekend and we went to a great street fair and balloon glow.  So much fun!

This is the first time I used this 'Let's Toast' set from My Favorite Things and I love it!  I am going to have to make a lot more of these.  I used both the stamp set and the coordinating die-namics as well as lots of other die-namics!  The paper I used is Basic Grey's 'Plumeria' and I inked most of the edges with 'Antique Photo' distressing ink from Ranger.

This is a close up of the bottle hanger- too cute!  The flowers are MFT Die-namics mini rolled roses and the royal rolled rose.  Each has a colored gem in the center.

Here is the card I made to go along with it thanking our friends for a wonderful time.  I used all of the same 'Plumeria' paper and more fishtail stax die-namics and added a couple more fun sentiments from the 'Let's Toast' stamp set.

One quick picture of the inside of the card!

For Grandma!

Hey everyone!  I have another post for you this week.  This is a card I actually started out creating for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and DT Casting Call but as it evolved I knew right away I would be giving it to  my Grandma for her birthday in September.  She will be 94!!

Here is the sketch for the week which is super cute and so much fun to work with!  I created two cards and wanted to do more but it was getting late....

I pulled out tons of supplies for this card.  The cardstock is American Craft and the designer paper is all My Mind's Eye 'Dilly Dally' and 'Sunshine'  It was so easy to combine these two paper sets and I love the color combo.  I also used my new Papertrey Ink 'Desktop File: Inspiration' on some Rolodex cards from Staples.  The chevrons and the fishtail banners are both from My Favorite Things, the cute little kite sticker is My Mind's Eye and the rose cabochon and the flourish stamps are from Stampin' Up!  The lovely sentiment is from Verve! Whew- that is a lot of stuff:)

On the inside I die cut more chevrons and used the 'Priceless' stamps  from Stampin' Up again.  All of the edges were distressed with Ranger Ink and of course I left it blank for my very special message to my Grandma!  Oh, and the buttons are from my 'vintage' stash:)

Hexagon Craze!

Hi everyone!  Hexagons have been showing up EVERYWHERE in the crafting world so I thought I had better jump on the bandwagon and create something with hexagons.

All of the stamps used for this card are from Raisin Boat Stamps.  I used the 'Polka Dot' background and the 'Going in Circles' set.  This set has so many fabulous images in it and even a couple of sentiments!  The grosgrain ribbon is also from Raisin Boat and they have every color to coordinate with their cardstock! All of the hexagons were cut using the new My Favorite Things Hexagon Die-namics.  The designs created by using the hexagons are fantastic!  You will be seeing more of this from me!

The inside features more of these fabulous hexagons and more of the super smooth Raisin Boat cardstock which comes in a ton of colors so be sure to check them out.

Vintage Ivory

Hi everyone.  Happy Monday!  My card today is for the Unity Kit of the Month sketch challenge and I am using my newest KOM- Love in an Instant!  So so many cute designs in this kit but I had this idea in my head as soon as I received my kit and I am really thrilled with the way this card turned out.

I love tone on tone colors and using all of this ivory and cream really gave this card a vintage look.  It also helps that I inked all of the edges with Vintage Photo distressing ink by Ranger:)  I pulled out lots of cream colored papers from my stash and embossed one background piece and stamped the KOM images on another.  The image and the sentiment were stamped in Memento Ink Rich Cocoa  and then I softly colored the dress with colored pencils.

The crocheted trim is from My Mind's Eye and the lace border peeking out is a Martha Stewart border punch.  I added a pearl pick from Caramelos Shop, cabbage ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique and a heart button from Charlenes Button Box all at Etsy.com

The inside is pretty clean and simple. I used the same stamps for the backgound and another strip of the lace border.  Just needs a sweet message from me!

It's A Raisin Boat Challenge!

Hi everyone and happy first day of summer!  Raisin Boat stamps is having their first challenge and they would love to see what all of you are creating with Raisin Boat stamps.  The first challenge is to create a card, scrapbook page, or other craft item using ANY RAISIN BOAT STAMPS you would like. The prize for this challenge is going to be ANY Raisin Boat set of the winner's choice! The winner will be drawn on July 12 using random.org.

I took one of my favorite sets, Urban Cowgirl, and created a gift set which includes a card and a small gift box perfect for a gift card.  Everything was stamped on or cut out of Raisin Boat Ivory Coast Boathouse collection cardstock with some Red Delicious and Coffee Bean accents.  Both the card and the gift box were cut with my Cricut and the mini doily is an MFT die-namics die.  Some twill tape and stickles glitter are the finishing touches.

Here is a close up of the adorable gift box and below is the Urban Cowgirl set I used.  This set has so many great images that can be used together or separately for beautiful projects!  I hope you are inspired to join us in this challenge.

Loads of Love!

Hi everyone!  Hope you all are having a great first day of summer!  It is unseasonably hot here in Colorado and I am loving it!  This is the card I gave to my Dad on Fathers Day...  I am just putting it on my blog a little late:)

I combined two stamps for this card- Stampin Up's  'Loads of Love' and Unity's 'Destination Happiness'  I thought they went so well together!  I love the bright colors in this card.  I stamped the images on Copic Xpress blending paper and then colored them with Copic markers.  Both of the images are just darling.  The tag is cut from MFT Die-namics circle stax.  I added some Doodlebug Design twine and Mark Richards silver gems.  All of the DP is My Mind's Eye 'Fly a Kite'.  My Dad loved it of course!

I kept the inside simple- added a Stampin Up sentiment and lots of space to write happy things to my Dad!

Ready for the 4th!

Hi everyone!  I know it's not quite 4th of July but it is getting close so I wanted to show you all some decorations I made for our 4th of July barbecue!  All of the adorable stamps are from Raisin Boat Stamps.  This 'Red, White & Blue' set has such an array of cute stamps, I couldn't help but use them all:)  This year I thought it would be fun to dress up my silverware caddy and make it patriotic.  I love decorating for this holiday because it's summer, it's hot (usually) and red is my favorite color!

First off  I cut hangers for the condiment bottles, stamped them up using the 'Red, White & Blue' stamp set and used a Viva pearl pen for a little pizazz.  The rosettes are attached to skewers and I plan on sticking these in the yummy slices of watermelon we will have.  I even stamped tags and then cut them out for the silverware.  I apologize for the ugly background in this picture but I wanted to get everything in.

The banner was cut from Raisin Boat cardstock and decorated with the same stamp set and the 'Polka Dots' background. I cut out the cirlcle, #4  and firecracker stamps.  It turned out perfectly!  Very patriotic and so darn cute.

I also made some darling treat boxes that will be filled with candy and small prizes.  These boxes are from soooo long ago...literally 20 years. But they sure are cute!  All of the images on the boxes were embossed.  It got a little messy but I love the way they turned out.  I can't wait for everyone else to see them.

This is a close up of one of the treat boxes- adorable!  Again I apologize for the imperfect background! And here is the cute, cute stamp set from Raisin Boat!

Hi everyone!  I have some really exciting news to share... I am part of the new Raisin Boat Design Crew Team!  I am very excited to be part of this team.  Watch my blog to see some of the great stamps Raisin Boat has to offer. To celebrate I thought I would show you a card made with one of my favorite sets 'Undies in a Bunch'.

Here is a close up of the cute undies hanging from a clothesline.  Look closely and you will see little hearts on the thong panty.  There are also other 'undies' in the set.

Raisin Boat Stamps have so many cute and  fantastic designs and also tons of great supplies.  They also rent, yes rent stamps!  I know I have wanted or needed a stamp set for a special occasion that I knew I would only use the one time. My Wish

Hi everyone!  My daughter just graduated from the University of Denver this past Saturday and I wanted to show you all the 'card' I made for her.  It is actually a mini book but I knew she would appreciate something so beautiful (and big!)
I knew I wanted to use the lyrics from the Rascal Flatts song 'My Wish'.  I think the words to this song are perfect for someone just starting out on their own.  I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to put it together until I saw this photo book by KOLO.  I then saw the 12 x 12 Echo Park 'This and That Graceful' paper and the idea really started to come together!

All of the lyrics were printed on solid coordinating Bazzil paper and then cut out using all sorts of My Favorite Things Die-namics dies and one Spellbinders die.
It was so much fun to mix and match all of these gorgeous papers and stickers and then even more fun to add all of the embellishments!  I used  ribbon and gems, pearls and cabochons, twine, brads and all other sorts of cute things I kept finding in my stash:)  Of course I wrote a very sweet message to her on the final page!
I could show you all of the pictures- there were 11 pages in all but I picked out some of my favorites to showcase. If you have never listened to the song 'My Wish' by Rascal Flatts, I highly recommend it.  It is a very sweet song and it was perfect for my daughters graduation.
This is a recent picture of me and her in Hawaii.  Gorgeous girl and I am so very proud of her!

To the Beach (I Wish!)

Hi everyone!  The weather in Colorado has been great and I love it here but I would much rather be on a beach somewhere by the ocean.  I have to satisfy my yearning with a little creativity.  I made this canvas for the Kraftin' Kimmie 'Anything But a Card' Challenge and I have been wanting to use my new 'Going Places' stamps and so I thought a beach scene would be perfect.

I painted the canvas with acrylic paints and then cut up a combination of yellow, green and blue papers for the scene.  Some are Stampin' Up DP, most are from Echo Park 'Summer Days.  The cute little beach sign is from the Fancy Pants 6x6 paper pad 'Wave Searcher'.  I colored this beach bound beauty with Copic markers and the shells are from beaches I have visited!  I am going to hang this in my craft room and dream.............

p.s.  I have to add just because I am so proud of her and I love her so much, my daughter is graduating cum laude from the University of Denver this Saturday!  Woo hoo!!

Birthday wishes!

Hi everyone.  It has been a little while.  I took last week off for really no good reason except it was nice outside and I enjoyed it.  I am back today with a birthday card for ( I am sure she is reading this!) my sister.

I am also using this card for the Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm.  This week we had to use an item we had been hoarding and although I feel I have been really good about using all of my "special" supplies, I did find this gorgeous Chiyogami paper in my stash and knew this was the time to use it.  I paired it with solid paper from The Paper Company and some cute polka dot paper from Fancy Pants Design 'Be You' 6x6 paper pad.

I colored Anya with Copic markers, added some flowers from MFT Dienamics, some bright yellow ribbon and of course, lots of sparkly gems. The sentiment is from Raisin Boat stamps.  I decorated the inside of the card too but did not like any of the pictures so you won't be seeing any of those today!
