Snow Is In The Air!

Hello everyone. It is super cold here in Colorado and it looks like snow is on the way, brrr...  I thought it would be fitting to show this holiday card full of snowflakes which are one of the better things about cold weather.

I created this card in shades of icy winter blues and added lots of sparkle to show off these beautiful snow crystals.  This gorgeous set of stamps is the 'Sparkle and Splendor' set from Raisin Boat and I love the detailing in the snowflakes.  I stamped them in Memento Ink blues and then added lots of Stickles 'Diamond' glitter for extra shine.

I spritzed all of the layers with Shimmer Mist in 'Frost' and if you look closely you can see the subtle glimmer.  A double bow with the silk white ribbon and a couple of delicate paper snowflakes cut with my Cricut are the finishing touches on a very elegant holiday card!

I apologize for the super short post but they may be like that for a bit.  We have a brand new puppy (7 weeks old) and although he is so stinkin' adorable, he is a TON of work and I barely get anything else done.  We do have lots of cuddle time though:)

Hi everyone!  Happy Thanksgiving! I hope today finds you and your loved ones well.  Today I have a little post about a simply sweet Thanksgiving card.
I started with Raisin Boat cardstock in Autumn shades of brown, blue and red and layered those with the adorable 'Acorn Hollow' paper and coordinating sticker sheet from Little Yellow Bicycle .
This line has the cutest Fall images- lots of sweet little forest animals, trees, leaves and flowers.  I added a couple of charming tags from Chic Tags in the background and a few vintage buttons from my stash with just a bit of twine for a rustic look.
The inside is clean and simple with a few more 'Acorn Hollow' accents and a simply sweet sentiment for the holiday.  I will be having lots of thankful thoughts today as I am surrounded by the people that make me the happiest and very dear thoughts about the ones that are far away but are still sharing the day with me in my heart.

Short and Sweet

Hello everyone!  Contrary to the title of this post, it will not be short.  However, it will be very sweet!  This is a spot light on another fairly new set from Raisin Boat called 'Short and Sweet'.

This is part of Raisin Boats laundry line - they have several other cute "laundry" sets too!  I decided to create tiny gift containers using the small rectangle tin also available at Raisin Boat.  These tins are the perfect size for a small treat and a gift card fits perfectly!

First up is a treat container featuring the sweet shorts and tie dye t-shirt from the set.  I stenciled some clouds for the background and used lots of red accents. I colored the tiny flowers with my Copic Markers and added a bit of glitter to each.

On the inside, I made more clouds and added some festive banners. I changed one word in the sentiment.  Instead of sweet, it should read great but I thought sweet worked better with the "sweets" in the tin.

Here is the tin in all of it's sweetness!

Next up is a cute gift card holder featuring two darling tank tops from the 'Short and Sweet' set. I love how you can customize the tank however you want!  I also used  Polka Dots and Riverwalk Floral for the background and added a tiny tag and a leafy border.

The inside shows another sweet sentiment and the gorgeous By the Bay ribbon.

I propped up the back of the gift card holder so it would sit up in the tin for easier access to the goods! Of course, I had to add a little bling and sparkle.  These gift tins were so fun to create, I know I will be making more in the future. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Thanks for the memories!

Hello!  Today's post is bittersweet because this is my last challenge as a Raisin Boat Designer!  It has been such a wonderful experience so it is only fitting that our last challenge be a Thank You. I would like to dedicate my Thank You to the wonderful owners of Raisin Boat, Bobbi and Kim.

I have created my Thank You card in happy shades of Think Pink, Sweet Cheeks and Pool Party Boathouse Collection card stock with lots of interesting layers.  As usual, I pulled out many of my favorite Raisin Boat stamp sets to create this cutie!  I embossed some sparkly Polka Dots as the background and then added in layers of Riverwalk Floral and Need for Tweed.  The simple Thank You sentiment is from the Talking in Circles stamp set.

The layers and flower were cut with MFT Dienamics and Papertrey Ink dies and I then added more cheery Raisin Boat ribbon in coordinating colors along with some gemstones and a pearl.  This shot shows the fabulous dimension of the Polka Dot background.

I kept the inside clean and simple so I have lots of room to write all of the nice things I want to say.  I have had a great time designing for Raisin Boat.  Their images are so creative and fun and their store is stocked full of gorgeous cardstock, ribbon, gems and so much more.  Thank You Bobbi and Kim and also to the rest of the designers for making this design team experience so enjoyable!

For the challenge... you can use any stamp set you have (you don't have to limit your entry to Raisin Boat stamps). That's right, use any stamp set you wish for this Thank You challenge, but if you use a Raisin Boat stamp set, it will count as two entries. That gives you twice the chance to win a stamp set of your choice!
