Spring...is on the way?

Hi everyone!  Spring is supposedly on the way but here in Colorado, as usual, it teases us a bit and then we get more snow.  As I write this, we are getting snow for the second day in a row. I know Spring will be here soon but I created some Spring decor items to put a bit of color into my life!

I recently got the 'Flower Power' stamp set from Paper Wings Productions and instantly loved it and have been using using it like crazy!  So many gorgeous flowers in this set and pairing them with bright colors makes them perfect for a sweet wreath and Easter basket.

First, I cut a chipboard circle 3 and 3/4 inches in diameter and about 3/4 inches wide and covered it in white card stock.  All of the flowers were also stamped on the white card stock and I used some small flower dies to cut them out.  They fit pretty nicely and much easier than all that fussy cutting! I then layered and glued all of the flowers to the circle and added a few gems, some sparkly glitter and a bright bow.

The adorable basket is cut with the Papertrey Ink 'Favor It Box 9' die from white card stock and stamped in the same bright, springy colors. I added scalloped borders, more glitter and gems and some liquid pearls.  I did fussy cut some of the tiny flowers to add in as accents on the basket and the tag.  The cheery sentiment is from the 'Earth & Sky' stamp set.  These would be perfect for place settings at Easter dinner filled with all kinds of sugary goodies!

Hope you enjoyed my little touch of Spring!  Thanks for stopping by and sharing your comments. I wish you all a wonderful weekend and happy Easter! Make sure you visit the Paper Wings Productions store for these great stamps and so much more and please check out the gorgeous PWP blog, The Aviary, and see what the other wonderful designers have been up to!

I decided to use the beautifully elegant stamp set "Butterfly Panel' for my card since it features gorgeous winged creatures and an uplifting sentiment.  But, I have already used this stamp a few times and wanted to do something different.

I decided to cut the richly detailed panel into small squares without using the butterfly. I also decided to keep the color scheme simple yet bold in black and cream to really show off the fabulous details.  The next step of getting the sentiment around the layout took a while in the planning and stamping but looks gorgeous and perfectly fitting for this card.  Adding a few small touches in a bright berry color finished off this elegant card that will be perfect as an inspirational gift.

For the inside I added the whole butterfly panel and a couple more berry accents.  I left plenty of room to write a special message to the recipient.

I can't help but show off this card.  Not really necessary, but here is another picture from a different angle.  Beautiful!  Your next stop will be Norma's blog and she always has some gorgeous, artsy project! .  Enjoy the show!
