Acorn Notes!

Hi everyone! I have some sweet little notecards to share today- all created with the new 'Happy Harvest' stamp and die set from Reverse Confetti!

These notecards measure 3 1/2 by 4 7/8 inches and each features an adorable acorn from the stamp set. I also die cut three woodgrain panels and added different distress inks to each to really show off the pretty pattern!

All of the acorns were embossed in copper and topped with a different design of patterned paper. These cute patterns are from the Echo Park 'Fall Is In The Air' 6x6 paper pad.

To keep the color mixing going, I added some hemp cord in the background and different colored leafy accents to each! For some shine, each has a shape in shiny gold card stock.

The final touches were sparkly sequins or candy dots and a bit of Fall colored silky ribbon!

Foxy Banner!

Hi everyone! I love making decor pieces for my home  for all holidays and Fall is one of my favorites! I mean, there are so many gorgeous colors in the Fall palette and of course, foxes!

Who could resist anything made with these adorable creatures? This fox die from Simon Says Stamp is actually a 'plush' die but has so many more uses including these paper cuties! I combined them with some pretty patterned paper and chipboard accents from Echo Park along with some die cut leaves to make this festive Fall banner.

A close-up of the girly fox- she looks so sweet with a flower in her fur! The sunflower behind her is layered  die cut leaves!

Now for the guy fox (or Fawkes if you prefer! haha). He's sporting a darker shade of red fur and is toting around a  cute little acorn.

I mounted the foxes and all of the adorable accents onto thick twine and then added some curled twine and Autumn colored ribbon on the ends! Now to find the perfect spot in the house for  this sweet banner!

Inspirational Blooms!

Hi everyone! We crafters can find inspiration anywhere, am I right? Who knew I would find it in my daily shower! I have been using the Sweet Pea Golden Sugar Scrub by Bath and Body Works for a while (it is discontinued now) and always thought the graphics were beautiful and needed to be re-created into a card.

Once I received my new Concord & 9th 'You Are Enough' stamp set, I knew my inspiration would come to life! Plus, the sentiments, paired with these beautiful blooms, are perfect for Breast cancer Awareness month!

The large flower image was embossed onto my cardstock- the first one in clear and the other in white. I kept true to the colors of the graphics for the first card and blended Distress Inks in pinks and oranges and added in a bit of green and antique linen for a super soft flower. To mimic the gold dots of the graphics, I used a Uniball gold pen and doodled outside of the lines. The sentiment is also embossed in gold and i added a gold strip of paper to the side for some shine.

The second flower needed bolder colors, so I blended a couple of purples with the orange and continued to add color and blend until the colors were dark and vibrant. Since this bloom was a bit more dramatic, I added a large die cut sentiment in shiny gold to coordinate with the gold dots. The clear droplets add a nice finishing touch and don't distract from the gorgeous flower!
