Mom Mini Album Card!

Hi everyone! Mother's Day is just around the corner and hand crafted cards are always so appreciated! Better yet- a multi-page card full of beautiful sentiments for the lady that does so much for you!

The Simple Stories 'Mom' paper collection has the sweetest sentiments in the journaling card elements that I wanted to highlight them all! Plus, I love mini scrapbooks so I combined the two for a multi-page card that says lots of wonderful things to Mom!

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut three chipboard pages 4"x approximately 6.5". I used a punch to scallop the ends of the pages so they are a bit shorter than that. I cut the collection paper in all of the gorgeous patterns to fit the pages and then used the journaling elements along with the charming stickers to decorate and embellish each page!

Once I had all of the pages decorated, I punched holes in the end opposite of the scallops and tied them all together with shiny ribbon! Now Mom will have a super cute memento of her special day that she can flip through over and over!

Pastel Mother's Day!

Hi everyone! Flowers and pastels are always perfect for a Mother's Day card! I used the inspiration colors from this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge #441 to create a soft and pretty card for one of the beautiful moms in my life!

I had actually stamped the center fishtail flag earlier in the week but then I oversprayed it with Perfect Pearls and muted the color too much! I'm so glad I didn't throw it in frustration as it works perfectly for this challenge! I cut out the additional flags, lined up my images with the Misti and stamped in the other challenge colors of pink and aqua!

After layering all of the fishtail flags together, I die cut the 'you' several times from light purple card stock to give the word lots of dimension. I also added in a tiny sentiment stamped in aqua and some matching die cut flowers in the challenge colors.

Once I put the fishtail layers down on the card base, I thought it was just too stark so I die cut a scalloped background and stamped in several tiny dots in aqua. That one detail made such a difference! For the final touches, I added in some pretty crystal sequins and a few details to the inside of the card!

Graduation Party Banner!

Hi everyone! May signifies the start of graduation season around here. Lots of kids will soon be graduating from high school and college and we can't forget about those middle schoolers either! There will be lots of parties to attend and maybe even some to throw and I have some inspiration for a fun gift and/or decoration for the grad!

I love banners! They are a fun decoration and show off paper collections really well! This "Grad' paper collection from Simple Stories is full of great details and phrases plus the color scheme, which is black, white, gold and silver will work with so many school colors!

Since this banner would be including pictures, I started by cutting fun frames from the fabulous patterned papers and because there were so many awesome journaling card elements, I decided to do a double banner and include some of those!

Once I had the frames cut and everything placed in the order I wanted, I began choosing the great sticker shapes and sentiments to embellish them! So many uplifting phrases to really pump up the new graduate! I layered these along with more of the patterned paper as well as some glittery gold stars from Studio Calico.

All of the frames and journal card elements were hot glued to black twine. On each end of the banner, to help keep the sections from overlapping, I made large fishtail flags from the great papers and added in some curled twine and gold curling ribbon.

I put in pictures of my daughters graduation (from a few years back!) but this banner would look awesome filled with yearly school pics of the graduate! It will be such a great memento to mark this big occasion!

Tweet For Mom!

Hi everyone! Mother's Day is getting close and I want to give you a little inspiration to show your love. I have the cutest little box card today created with a SVG cut file and the beautiful 'Mom' paper collection from Simple Stories.

This paper collection is filled with the most pretty florals, stripes and plaids in a rich and beautiful color scheme. Plus the journaling card elements say the best things about the women we love best! And who can ever resist cute stickers.....

The birdhouse SVG cut file is from the 'Garden Party Collection' and looks so awesome done up in the wonderful mix of patterned papers. I added in the charming bird sticker to the front of the birdhouse as well as a sweet sentiment sticker from the collection. The double layered flower is attached using a brad from the 'Faith' collection and the hanging tag is a sticker adhered to more of the pretty paper.

This picture shows the adorable dimension of the birdhouse with lots of tiny blooms! On this side, I popped up a cute bee sticker along with another great sentiment sticker and a heart! I added enamel dots from the 'Faith' and 'Domestic Bliss' collections to all the flower centers for a sweet detail.

Another big paper bloom on the back side with two flower stickers from the collection and more sweet sentiment stickers. Such a delightful way to say 'I Love You' to one of the most important people in your life!
