All The Colors!

Hi everyone! Tara here with some super cute and super colorful party favors made with the amazing Simple Stories Color Vibe Collections! These eye-catching collections are supposed to be 'basics' but they are anything but! There are fabulous chipboard and flower bits as well as buttons and enamel dots to go along with the gorgeous coordinating papers plus colorful alphas in an array of sizes. 

I used a mixture of colors from the Brights, Bolds, Summer and Spring Color Vibe collections to make these adorable jelly bags from SVGCuts.com. The bags were cut from the card stock and double layered for sturdiness. The paper has a solid side as well but I used the polka dotted sides for the inside and out of the bags.

The fun pinwheels were made with colorful stacked triangles and topped with lots of layered flower bits and a button! They are stuffed inside the bag along with a bottle of bubbles that are wrapped with more of the paper and decorated with a fun embellishment that features the flower and chipboard bits along with enamel dots!

The adorable tags are made with two colors of the polka dotted papers and are topped with more flower bits and layers of the chipboard hearts, stars and arrows as well as more bright enamel dots. I used the two sizes of alphas in the alpha sticker book for the tag names. So adorable!

Of course you can mix these beautiful Color Vibe collections with any of the Simple Stories collections for a coordinating pop of color but they look gorgeous on their own and are made extra special with the  fun and fabulous embellishments!

Hello Pumpkin Season!

Hi everyone! The Fall season is soon to be upon us and it's a great time to start getting your Autumn decorations planned! Pumpkins are a wonderful Fall decoration and if you're not ready for the real thing, you can always create one from paper! 

I created this mini pumpkin using eight arch shapes cut from the Simple Stories adorable new collection Harvest Market! Some were cut from the regular patterned papers and some from the 6x8 paper pad. I adhered them back to back and added a paper stem to the center complete with pumpkin leaves and tendrils. 

This pumpkin would have been super cute with just the paper patterns but I dressed it up even more using all of the fabulous embellishments from the collection! Each page features a beautiful array of the darling chipboard stickers, Journal Bits, Bits & Pieces and stickers layered together with pretty journal cards and patterned tags. Tucked in here and there are the gorgeous adhesive brads and colorful enamel dots!

While some of the pages are purely decorative, other pages features journaling areas and spots for photos! There is even a pocket on one page with a couple of pull out tags that are perfect for your Autumn memories! Such a fun way to preserve and display all of your favorite Fall photos and mementos!

On most of the pages I added a strip or two of the decorative washi tape that is also part of this collection. The different patterns and widths add such a fun and decorative element to the pages making them even more charming! 

Even though I'm not quite ready for colder weather, I am excited to add photos and some journaling to this cute pumpkin and start my Fall decorating! Visit my Instagram page for a video look at this pumpkin mini album!

Happiest Place On Earth!

Hi everyone! Disney albums are always such a joy to make and I couldn't decide on just one of the new Say Cheese At The Park collections by Simple Stories so I made this adorable mini album featuring all of them! I say 'mini' but this chunky album will hold 40 plus photos and I created it knowing I wanted a separate section for each of these charming collections. 

The album folded up measures about 7 inches by 7.5 inches and is 3.5 inches deep. It is tied closed with a bright ribbon and once untied, it opens up to reveal all 4 amazing sections at once! It is made from chipboard and is covered in the super cute patterned papers from each of the Say Cheese At The Park collections along with some cheery coordinating Color Vibe cardstock. 

This is the first half of the album that holds the Frontier and Tomorrow sections. Each section features a waterfall flip for photos made with each collections papers and is embellished with all of the delightful and captivating stickers, chipboard, foam and brads! The other picture features some of my favorite pages of each section! 

The second half holds the Fantasy and Adventure sections and is equally as charming! More waterfall pages and decorative strips- one opens to the bottom of the album, the other to the top! I added in some interactive pages to each section as well, such as pull out tags and flip outs for more photos! course, I had to show some of my favorite pages for these sections as well!

Lake Time!

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio and I have the sweetest mini album to share with you today! I have been wanting to make this adorable fishing kreel since I saw it three years ago in a magazine and the Simple Vintage Lakeside paper collection gave me the perfect opportunity to finally create it!

I used the coordinating Lakeside Basics papers to make the outside of the kreel and then used the gorgeous and lush embellishments of the collection to give it that lakeside feel. I added in a decorated pocket with tags along with hooks, colorful fishing line and richly detailed paper fish!

Inside is the real surprise! The mini album pulls out of the kreel for viewing but is still attached with a bit of ribbon and then flips open to reveal page after page of this stunningly beautiful collection! The patterned papers are the perfect background for layering on the striking and fabulous elements of chipboard, brads and stickers!

I added in some frames and raised the embellishments to accommodate pictures but the pages themselves are so pretty and detailed that photos aren't even necessary! Every time I look at this album, even I find some new detail I had not noticed before!

This collection is perfect for any lover of nature and the outdoors. There are not only fish and lake references but also woodsy, fauna and wildlife ones as well. Get your outdoor crafting on with this elegant and exquisite must have paper collection!

Happiness Comes In Waves!

Hi everyone! I have a super cute fold up mini album to share today featuring the beautiful Simple Vintage Vintage Seas collection. This collection is made up of a stunning array of nautical red and blues along with beautiful sea and beach images and sweet sentiments!

Mini albums are perfect for showcasing small groupings of photos and I think they are even better when they look compact but open up to reveal all the photo spots! This gorgeous mini opens up to three sections and interactive features. 

The cover flips open to reveal a pocket that is just the right size for some 3x4 journal cards. The fronts showcase the fabulous designs of this collection and the backs are left open for photos. I mounted the cards onto some coordinating Vintage Seas Basics paper which matches the collection beautifully!

For the middle section, I cut one of the frames of the collection to fit into the 4x5 inch area. It's popped up a bit so a photo can easily be slid into it! Below the frame I layered some more of the gorgeous paper along with stickers and chipboard!

The final section has a lovely decorative flap that is closed with a tiny piece of velcro. There are two photo flips inside decorated on the front with 4x4 journal cards and lots of the charming embellishments of the collection. The back sides, which are photo ready, are also embellished with more nautical goodies!

Although this little album is only 4 inches wide by 5 inches tall and 3/4 inches deep, it can hold up to 14 photos and it's stacked and layered with lots of the exquisite stickers, chipboard, decorative brads and more of this collection. This impressive collection is perfect for documenting any seaside and beach memories!

Let's Fly Away!

Hi everyone! Travel albums are the best! It is always so heartwarming to look back and relive all of those special memories! The new 'Let's Go' collection from Simple Stories is all about the fun parts of traveling and is great for trips near home or abroad!

I was captivated by the chipboard frames in this collection and decided to create a mini album with all of them! I decided to document a fairly recent trip to Tuscany and Rome, Italy and added in some fun interactive elements as well as a few extra pages so I could fit in tons of photos and memories!

To add in even more fun and interest, I made a shaker with the top frame which is aptly titled 'Let's Go'. I backed it with some plane themed paper from the collection and then added in a variety of small shaker charms as well as some pieces from the collection along with lots of tiny hearts!

Starting with the second frame, I added in a pull-tag feature at the top or side of each so I could add in journaling! I used a tag from the collection for each slider and then layered them with stickers, decorative brads and enamel dots! Super fun! These tags pull out from each frame to remind me of those precious memories!

The frame fronts are the feature of the album, but I also added photos and/or embellishments to the back so I could use more of the charming patterned papers of the collection and more of the fabulous decorative pieces too!

For the extra pages, I used the patterned papers along with various sizes of the journaling cards. I had such a hard time deciding which decorative pieces to use for embellishments because they are all so darn cute!

I hooked the entire album together with a large metal ring and even embellished that with a travel tag, tassels and some charms made with decorative elements from the collection! This was such a special trip and I am so glad I could document it with this fabulous and delightful collection!
