Fabulous Fall Fold-Out Mini!

Hi everyone! It's Tara with Secretbees Studio and I am so excited to show you what I created with the fabulous new Simple Stories Acorn Lane collection! This Fall collection is a gorgeous palette of rich, earthy colors and is full of sweet icons and sentiments that will make you so happy!

These photos of my grandson were taken last fall at a pumpkin farm and this collection is the perfect match to show them off! I made the base of the album with some coordinating mustard Color Vibe card stock and then got busy covering the pages with the beautiful Fall inspired patterned papers! There are loads of leaves, rich plaids and cute critters!

This little album measures only four by four inches when all closed up but it opens to thirteen different sections including three pockets that I filled with charming tags and journaling elements to hold even more photos! Each of the pockets feature a coordinating Color Vibe chipboard bracket topped with lots of the pretty Bits and Pieces of the collection! I made one of the pocket tags interactive by attaching it to a couple of larger bits and then layering on some smaller embellishments! 

This mini album is such fun to flip through and fold open and it's even more fun to open each section and see the gorgeously detailed papers and embellishments! If you have Fall crafting to do then you need this sweet and charming collection! I cannot wait to use it again and create something fabulous!

Hi everyone! I'm here to show you another fabulous project made with the amazing Color Vibe Collections! This adorable mini focuses on the Basics Color Vibe collection with its shades of black, charcoal, grey, brown, cream and white! I used the entire spectrum of cardstock along with all of the charming flower pieces, chipboard bits, buttons and enamel dots. I also added a few bits from the amazing Simple Vintage Essentials collection!

The base of the album is made from chipboard covered in the dotted side of the Basics Grey cardstock and is embellished with more of the Basics papers, stars and a flower. I created a spine to hold a cascade of the chipboard stars along with a sweet sentiment! The title of the album is made with some Basics foam letters and the Typekey letters from the Simple Vintage collection!

The base opens up to reveal this three section booklet that holds all the photos! The front is closed with a hidden magnet and this large and pretty cream flower along with a few chipboard bits and enamel dots!

Because the album is created entirely with these monochromatic colors, I added in pictures filled with bright and bold colors and accented each photo with more flowers, chipboard bits and enamel dots! The Basics color scheme, along with the Simple Vintage Essentials stickers, add a whimsical touch to each photo and stand out all on their own!

The last page of the album is so cute with its banner of buttons! I cut and then tucked in a few leaves from the flower bits and added in a fun sentiment at the bottom. A perfect ending to this 'creative' mini album!

Color Vibe Matchbook Minis!

Hi everyone! I am showcasing some of the new and beautiful Color Vibe collections today! All of the Color Vibe collections are great for mixing with and complementing all of the Simple Stories themed collections but they are marvelous on their own too!

 

All of these adorable matchbook mini albums feature a different Color Vibe Woods paper for the base and inside are two pockets also made with the Woods cardstock. Then I layered on all of the gorgeous Color Vibe Darks and Woods chipboard and flowers embellishments along with colorful buttons and enamel dots! 

The Color Vibe Darks collection is full of rich and deep hues that add elegance to any project. I used the dotted sides of the cardstock to create the tiny photo cards for the pockets and then added texture and dimension with more chipboard, flowers, leaves and letters! Super Cute!

On the covers of the albums and some of the pockets, I added in a few bits from the Simple Vintage Essentials collection too! It just goes to show you how well all of these collection mesh together in the most delightful way!

I hope this cute project inspires you to use these collections not just as background but as the star!

Outdoor Adventures!

Hi everyone! I have the most darling mini album to share today! The new Simple Stories Trail Mix collection is so adorable and colorful and perfect for scrapping all of your Summer outdoor adventures! 

To really show off all of the cute icons and fun sentiments in this collection, I created this charming 3-D tent that opens up to reveal a sweet little mini inside! I hinged one side of the tent so it will open and secured the opposite side with a magnet closure.

The mini album, which is graduated in size so it fits inside the tent, has plenty of pages and pockets to fill with memories. There are five sections to the mini album and they either flip to the side to open or to the bottom, plus there are lots of interactive elements on the pages as well!

The papers in this collection coordinate beautifully together and have amazing patterns and details! I had the best time layering them together and embellishing them with the fabulous stickers, chipboard and bits and pieces to create this one of a kind memento!

Hot Days and Cool Treats!

Hi everyone! Summer is almost here- yay! I am so looking forward to hot days, pool time and sweet treats and the new Retro Summer collection from Simple Stories is going to be the perfect way to scrapbook all of it! This collection is all about fun, yum and happy!

I wanted to show all of the fun and bright papers in this collection in one glance so, taking inspiration from my fellow team members, Becki and Dorymar, I cut down the cover of a Teal Sn@p Flipbook and created the album to be vertical! I also resized the inside pocket pages and combined those with decoratively edged patterned papers to give the album all of these wonderful staggered pages!

The pages alternate between pocket inserts and colorful patterned pages from the collection! All of them are decked out with the super charming embellishments and icons along with the cheerful sentiments! I also added in some of the Summer Color Vibe Cardstock which coordinates beautifully!

All of the ice cream icons look yummy enough to eat whether they are stickers, chipboard or foam and add such a delightful element to the pages! Tucked in with these goodies are the bright enamel dots and self adhesive brads! 

There are also some interactive pages too! Two are shown in this photo but there are a few more in this super cute and chunky album! There is a walk-through video on my YouTube channel so you can see all of them in detail!

Travel Is Good For The Soul

Hi everyone! Traveling is my passion! It is so exciting visiting a new or favorite destination and it's even more fun to come home and relive those awesome memories through the pictures taken and the mementos collected! The Here and There collection by Simple Stories is full of fun icons, great sentiments and ephemera that are perfect to document your travels near and far.

Mini albums are a great way to showcase a memorable vacation and I especially love a travel mini that has lots of room for pictures and journaling! I've used this new and fabulous Here and There collection  to create this gorgeous and super functional travel folio that is full of pockets and flips and even some pocket pages ready for your photos!

The first section features a large pocket and pull-out with lots of room for photos on the right and room for journaling and trip details on the left. There is even a hidden pocket on this side too!

Flip this page open to reveal another big pocket with photo cards and then open up the whole section to reveal a journal card holder made from a 3x4 journal card and lots of fun photo flips in the center! Just think of all those great vacation pictures that will look amazing here!

But there is even more! Turn the page for a sweet photo frame and a small section of pocket pages that are just waiting to be filled with even more mementos. Another hidden pocket at the top holds three of the journaling tags that have been decorated with the awesome embellishments of this collection and there is another large pocket at the very back that will hold a travel journal so you can document all of those great memories!
