Happy Easter!

Hi everyone!  I have two cards to share today.  Neither one is an Easter card but I wanted to make sure and wish you all a Happy Easter!  The first card is for my dear Grandma who fell recently and broke her hip.  She has a long road ahead of her so I wanted to make something that will help cheer her up.  She loves my cards and is one of my biggest fans:)

All of the designer paper is from Stampin Up! 'Vintage Springtime'.  I love all the soft colors.  The cute tree stamp is from Hero Arts as well as the 'Hello' sentiment.  I used Die-namics dies for the flowers and for the photo corner and Verve  dies for the leafy flourish and the butterfly.

I used the coordinating Verve butterfly stamp too and added lots of colored gems and a large pearl for accents.   This card was finished off with a bow made from cabage ribbon from the Prairie Bird Boutique at Etsy.com

I used the same beautiful paper on the inside with another Hero Arts sentiment.  All that is left is to write a sweet personal message to my Grandma.

The second card is for my nephews first birthday!  It's always exciting when your little one reaches that milestone and I wanted to celebrate by using lots of bright colors.  He is having a circus themed party so  I thought the lion and stars and stripes would be perfect!

All of this darling paper is from My Mind's Eye 'Fly a Kite' 6x6 paper pad.  There were so many cute paper choices in that collection that it was hard to choose.  The lion, cloud and ric rack trim are all rub-ons from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I cut the balloons with my Cricut and added some twine from Pink Paislee.

I kept the inside very simple but cute!  I used more of the designer paper, added another balloon and another rub-on -this one a little birdie.  I used my printer to print out the sentiment.

Strut Your Tailfeathers!

Hey everyone!  I wanted to share the birthday card I made for my sons girlfriend Cody! (Cody, I hope you are not peeking!) She is a fun, beautiful girl so I thought this saucy lady would be perfect.  This is Vivienne from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and these ladies are always so much fun to color!

I used a combination of supplies for this card.  The patterned paper and ribbon are from my stash.  All of solid paper is from The Paper Company and everything is stamped on Paper Temptress Cryogen White.  I used Die-namics dies for the tag, all of the ovals and the flourishes.  Purple and red gems and a little bit of glitter are the finishing touches.

I kept the inside fairly simple.  Just added some more gems, a flourish and more of the purple striped paper.  Hope Cody has a great birthday and that she loves her card!

MFT Guest Designer Bunny Hop!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I have submitted my entry for the My Favorite Things Guest Designer and here is a closer look.  The challenge was "Bunny Hop" so I decided to create a board game complete with game pieces to be played like checkers.  I also made a little basket from a paper bag and a card to go along with the set.

I used all digital images for this project.  The bunnies are by Zlatina Gocheva and the Pure Innocence girl is by Heather Ellis.  All of the images were printed on Paper Temptress Cryogen White paper and then colored with Copic Markers.  The solid papers I used are Bazzil and the designer papers are Echo Park 'This and That',  Doodlebug 'Hello Spring' and Basic Grey 'Sweet Threads'.  All of the flowers, doilies and chevrons were cut from MFT Dienamics and the eggs were cut with my Cricut using the Doodlecharm cartridge.

Here is the card I created using this sweet bunny girl image by Heather Ellis.  I paper pieced her outfit and Easter egg and colored her shoes. Her outfit is white dotted swiss paper but it is hard to see in the photograph.  I gave her a fluffy tail and pom-poms using white Fun Flock.  I added some Hero Arts pearls, a MFT Dienamics Botanical Beauty flower, doily and chevron stripe.  What a doll!

I kept the inside pretty simple by using the same Echo Park  and Bazzil paper.  I used the smallest part of the Botanical Beauty Dienamics and added some more pearls and another chevron stripe.  The stamp is a Stampendous cling stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

WSC65- Magic!

This is my weeks entry in the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  I had the opportunity to use a lot of my new MFT supplies!

I used the new Pure Innocence Magician stamp and she is a cutie!  I paper pieced her dress and then colored her with Copic markers.  I also used the Open Scallop Doily and the Oval tab dies as well as the mini rolled roses die.

Black and red is one of my favorite color combinations and I really like the elegance it added to this card.  I used lots of red and black gems and gave it a little shine with some Stampin Up! silver glitter paper.

Inside I used some of the same papers and a sentiment from the magical VIP collection.

These are the MFT supplies I used for this card.

Happy Birthday!

My niece will be turning 8 at the end of this week and she is a little bit of a cowgirl.  She rides horses and wears cowboy boots but in a very girly way.  I wanted to make her a card to help celebrate and I also used this card for the My Favorite Thing Wednesday Stamp Club challenge #64.

I used the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Cowgirl stamp set along with the Die-namics country charm die set.  The designer paper I used is My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally 6x6 paper pad.  It has some very cute county-ish papers.  I especially love the wood paper.  I colored this cowgirl with Copic markers after stamping her in Memento Rich Cocoa Ink.  I sewed an actual bandana on this card to give it a country touch then used twine to 'rope' it all together.

Here is a close-up of the charms I used.  I cut them out with my Cuttlebug and then covered them in  Martha Stewart glitter.  I attached them to the twine using a pin I took off some clothes I bought at Martin & Osa.  Cute!

On the inside of the card I added some more of this cute paper and stamped a shadow of the cowgirl.  I typed the sentiment on my computer and then printed it out.

These are the My Favorite Things stamps and dies I used for this card.

Pure Innocence Cutie

Hello everyone.  Happy Thursday!  Only one more day 'til the weekend.  Thought I would show you another bright card to help celebrate Spring.

I used My Favorite Things Pure Innocent 'Cute is what I do' stamp set for this adorable card.  The designer papers are all from Bella Blvd.- 'Socialite' and 'Lovey' lines, including her cute little polka dotted top.

I colored her in with Copic markers and then added some felt mini rolled roses with gems in the center and some lacey ribbon for the finshing touches.  I think she is adorable!

First Day of Spring!

Here is a bright card full of Spring colors to celebrate the first day of Spring!  This is also my entry for My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club.  Below is a picture of the sketch.

All of the paper used is from Echo Park's Country Drive line.  These designer papers are beautiful and colorful with all of the brightness I wanted for this card.

I used My Favorite Things Vertical Greetings and Big Greetings stamps and the coordinating Vertical Greetings die as well as the Large Leafy Flourish die.  I added a few gemstones, some gingham ribbon and a few stitches for a little extra touch and decorated the inside of the card with the same gorgeous paper.

I am so happy it's Springtime.  I love all of the flowers blooming and the birds coming back for the warmer weather.  Enjoy!
