Bright Floral!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you! I have a very colorful card to share today that I made for the new Color Throwdown #439 challenge! There were 4 colors and a big beautiful bouquet pic for inspiration and I decided to let both inspire my card this week!

This kraft tag was actually die cut and stamped a long while ago and has just been sitting on my desk waiting for some color. I used all of the colors in the challenge to color this gorgeous floral spray, even coloring the leaves shades of yellow and orange. The colors are rich and vibrant and look awesome!

To bring out more purple, I die cut a matching tag, layered them and mounted them over a pretty background cut from a twist cover plate die. A tiny tag displays a sweet sentiment and I can use this card for a birthday or simply encouragement. For sparkle and shine, I added in a bright red ribbon and faceted gems in a few different colors!

A Lemon Party!

Hi everyone! Has anyone else noticed all of the lemon decor in stores? Well I sure have and I decided to go with the flow and create something with lemons! Also, I bought some new Prismacolor pencils recently and wanted to give those a try too.

The Avery Elle Berry Good stamp set has the perfect large lemon shape and I just love the sentiment that is included with the set! I stamped and masked a trio of lemons down the side of a kraft envelope and colored them in with the pencils. The Prismacolor pencils are soft and creamy and really a joy to color with! I was pretty impressed with my first time coloring!

To fill in the space opposite the lemons, I stamped a few chevron stripes in versa mark ink so they would give a nice contrast to the envelope. I had originally intended the die cut and colored lemon to be a tag on the envelope but after I stamped the sentiment, I thought it looked best stacked on the others for a bit of dimension.  The final detail on the envelope were some tiny white polka dots added with a Signo White Gel Pen!

To emulate the brightness of the lemons, I made the enclosed card a nice, bright yellow and added more lemons down the opposite side of the card. I carried out the same chevron pattern on the card also, this time stamping it in a kraft ink. Keeping with the kraft theme, I added in a tiny strip of kraft card stock for the sentiment near the bottom of the card. More white polka dots and a couple of strands of black and white twine finish off this adorable gift set.

I added more black and white twine to the back of the envelope so this gift set can be tied to a bottle or to a gift for someone needing a little pick me up!

A Little Hello!

Hi everyone! A sweet and colorful card to share with you today! Succulents are all the rage right now and I recently got this adorable succulent stamp set from Jane's Doodles and created this card!

I wanted to keep the card clean and simple and let the succulents shine so I jazzed up a white background by cutting out corner portions with a die. The I stamped a pot full of these pretty plants and even tucked a flower in there as well! I colored the plants and the pot with Copic markers and gave the pot a bit of detail with a small stamp from the set.

The sentiment stamp is from Neat and Tangled, and I thought it would look awesome stamped in two different colors, bringing out the red in the pot. I stamped a few more of the tiny stamp image too and topped those off with shiny black gems! After mounting the pot of plants onto my background,  I shined those up too with a nice coat of Glossy Accents! I love the texture it gives to stamped images!

Finally, I rounded one corner for a bit of interest and mounted everything onto a cheery red card base! Super cute!

Stand Tall And Believe!

Hi everyone! It has been a few weeks since I joined in on a Color Throwdown Challenge and I thought it was high time I get back to it! Since I recently received a big box of Design Team goodies from Simple Stories (pinch me!) I took the opportunity to showcase all the cuteness and make a card!

The colors of the Color Throwdown Challenge #438 this week are coral, yellow and green and they go perfectly with all of the great papers and embellishments of the Simple Stories 'Faith' collection! This collection is filled with beautiful flowers and plants and lots of hearts and butterflies!

I kept my card clean and simple by just using one strip of coral patterned paper against a white background. Then I fussy cut some large succulents from the 6x8 paper pad papers and layered them over the top. I added in some adorable 'Faith' Bits and Pieces and chipboard along with a mixture of stickers from the 4x6 Stickers and the Combo Cardstock Stickers for just the right amount of sweetness!

Of course I had to add in some happy with brightly colored enamel dots to finish this card off! I used both the 'Faith' and 'Domestic Bliss' enamel dots so I could get the right mixture!
