Hi everyone! Popping in with some poppy birthday cards that I created over the weekend! I have had this set from Verve for a while and finally got the chance to ink it up and it did not disappoint! Such a seemingly simple set of stamps that creates the most fun and whimsical flowers!
All of these are birthday cards and they all have something special to offer! How fun it was to create such different cards in one setting! I've got a bright and bold, a pretty pastel and a soft watercolor for your viewing pleasure.
I started with the bright and bold because color is definitely my mode of choice. Big, black polka dots create a stunning background and I just love them combined with red and pink.
I die cut the flowers and stacked them for pretty dimension. That left me some room to tuck in all the leaves and shiny sequins!

I had originally die cut the poppies from white card stock to stamp in black and then color with Copics but didn't like the way they looked. I didn't want to throw away all of the die cut pieces so I stamped them with a single pastel color and voilá- a beautiful Easter-y birthday card. I added in shiny silver accents although in the photo the bottom one looks a bit gold. Don't you just adore that loopy pastel bow?! I am entering this card into the Curtain Call Inspiration Jelly Bean challenge! The gorgeous inspiration picture is below.
Finally, I had some watercolor smooshes left over from an earlier challenge and wanted to create a CAS card. I stamped the sweet trio of poppies onto the watercolor and then added in a bit more to the flowers. Sweet sentiments, tiny polka dots and shiny sequins finish it off!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
