Hi everyone! There is another great color combo challenge on over at the Color Throwdown blog and I used the opportunity to create a birthday card for my dear mom. She loves theses colors, especially purple, so it seemed very fitting!
I have been itching to use my new Concord & 9th 'Hello Lovely' stamp as I have seen it colored beautifully all over social media. Since I love the way Copic markers blend, I used a variety of them in the challenge colors on a white die cut tag. The gorgeous floral image was also stamped on the Hawaiian Shores card stock for the background.
After the tag was layered over the background, I didn't want to cover up the beautifully colored image so I used vellum for the sentiment strip. This way the images show through, just slightly muted. For shine, I gave the colored images a pretty shimmer using a paintbrush and Stickles 'Diamond' glitter!
The finishing touches were shiny sequins and a lovely vintage button! A beautiful card for the most important woman in my life! Happy birthday Mom!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
Supplies Used:
Copic Markers
Grafix vellum
Lawn Fawn 'Hello Sunshine' sequin Mix
Vintage button
Absolutely beautiful! I really love how you used the colors and added the sentiment.
