Hi everyone! Happy November! The end of October always brings Halloween of course, but our family has another big celebration and that is the birthday of our sweet, wonderful daughter! She is not a little girl anymore and has great sophisticated taste so I always try to create a card as gorgeous as she is!
The base of the card is a watercolor panel that has been blended with a beautiful combination of distress inks. She loves coral so I included 'Abandoned Coral' in the mix along with an orange and a yellow. She also loves gold, so before mounting the base onto the gold background, I spritzed it with a Perfect Pearl and water mix for a gorgeous shine!
I also ink blended the cake and went back in with a paintbrush and added darker shades of the colors plus a bit of gold paint for sparkle. I triple mounted it onto gold and black die cuts so it would really stand out and then added pretty gold stars and shiny black sequins! A beautiful card for a beautiful girl that we are so lucky to have in our lives!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
