Stockings For Doggies!

Hi everyone! Christmas is right around the corner and it's so important to not forget your four legged family members during this happy and festive time! I have two dogs and one grand-dog that I love dearly and always buy them tasty and fun goodies for their stockings! All of the two-legged members of the family have hand-made, personalized Christmas stockings so I thought it only right to create some hand-made, personalized stockings for the dogs!

I got the idea for the bone shaped stockings on Pinterest (of course!) and then created my own pattern to use. All of the stockings were cut from canvas duck cloth and lined with bright cotton broadcloth. I  wanted to add in festive colors too, so each stocking has a colorful band and big bow in a Christmas-y pattern!

Glenn is my grand-dog and the oldest of the trio at 2.2 years and spends a lot of his days with me while his humans work. Since he is the alpha of this group, I gave his stocking a bold pattern of festive stripes and added in green twine and a bright green ribbon for trim.

I hand drew all the names with Sharpie permanent markers and gave each tag cute felt accents. Glenns' tag is decorated with felt and wooden stars, a bone and a happy red jingle bell!

Django is the younger brother to Glenn and the little man of the group! He gets a charming plaid for his stocking with sweet red accents of ribbon and twine.

Djangos' tag has fun polka dots along with an adorable felt Christmas tree. I added in a paw tag and a small silver bell.

Avery, the only girl, is just a puppy at 8 months and full of energy and sweetness. Her stocking is decorated with a girly polka dot trim and bow and accented with girly gingham and rickrack!

Her tag was lettered in bright green to be different from the boys! It also has a bright felt snowflake and heart for trim along with sparkly sequins for a more feminine touch! I can't wait to fill these stockings with holiday toys and treats. I will be including these home-made biscuits too! While you're at it, check out Barkbox- our dogs get one every month and looove them!

Warm Winter Wishes!

Hi everyone! Here in Colorado the nights are getting colder and it's perfect weather for a nice warm drink! These adorable teacups will hold all kinds of goodies and make the most adorable gift!

I used the tutorial found here on Christy's blog and I started with the adorable 'All Bundled Up' paper pack from Carta Bella. Such amazing paper with great winter colors and designs! These cups are so simple to put together- you could create a whole slew of them and then fill to the brim with your choice of warm treat!

Carta Bella paper is perfect for this kind of project as it is a heavier and textured card stock. This cup features winter stripes with a fun polka dot handle! The finished cup stands 3 inches tall and can be filled with tea bags, coffee packets or like mine, hot cocoa and marshmallows!

Here is a close up of the adorable tag that is attached. I layered a couple of 'Tremendous Tags' cut out of the 'All Bundled Up' paper along with some of the coordinating sticker elements. I added a bit of fun flock to the mittens and some Wink of Stella for sparkle.

The red tea cup was originally cut about a 1/4 inch taller so I could scallop the edge for a bit of difference. I also cut the handle strip a bit wider and scalloped that as well. This cup features the beautiful and aptly named Snowflake Swirl from the 'All Bundled Up' paper pack. It too is filled with a goodie bag of cocoa and  topped off with it's own charming tag!

More of the beautiful patterned paper die cut into tags and layered with more stickers and sequins. I colored in the teacup image with Copic markers and added clear Wink of Stella to the snowflake and steam.

Of course, you can't have a warm cup of winter cheer without a bit of sweet to go with it! This tiny treat box is covered with the same fabulous designer paper and filled with chocolate goodies! I added in a big looped bow along with another of the sticker elements and more sequins! What a sweet treat this will be!

Too Cute To Spook!

Hi everyone! Another sweet Halloween project to share right before the big day of spooks and treats! This time a trio of ghosts that really aren't too scary!

If you read my last Halloween post, you will know that this is another adorable vintage wood mounted image from D.O.T.S. but I did add in some of my favorite background stamps too! I also created a bit of visual interest by mounting these cute little ghosts on the inside of the card and creating a cut-out on the front for them to show through! The sentiment is just a part of the D.O.T.S. Halloween Greeting stamp but is perfect for my niece! Ribbon and twine in the traditional holiday colors are the finishing touches for the front of the card.

On the inside, happy orange polka dots for the background and the same sweet ghosts! Each of the ghosts were lined with a gray Copic marker and then detailed with white and clear Wink of Stella pens. Nothing like a trio of ghosts to start you off right for trick-or-treating!

Beautiful Butterfly Birthday!

Hi everyone! I know it's Fall and I should be using rich Fall colors for my projects but for some reason, I could not resist creating this super feminine and elegant card in shades of pink and gold for my wonderful stepmothers' birthday!

I started with a plain piece of white card stock and jazzed it up with a beautiful background stamp of french words. I then die cut some pretty butterflies and filled in the negative space with elegant gold and white polka dotted paper that also shows in the scalloped edges. I topped off the negative spaces with glittery gold and hot pink butterflies and added in pink and gold gems for shine. Oh so pretty!

The inside is simple with more scalloped edges and a stamped hot pink butterfly. I added in a sweet sentiment and more sparkly gems! I think my stepmom will love it!
