Hello Baby!

Hi everyone! Babies are definitely the perfect tiny blessing and it is always such a joy picking out the perfect gift to celebrate them. Although there are so many adorable baby gifts available, I want to give you some inspiration to create a sweet handmade present that anyone would love!

The 'Oh Baby' paper collection from Simple Stories is full of soft colors and sweet sentiments perfect for a boy or girl. This mini dresser, cut from an SVGcuts file, is charmingly decorated with the lovely patterned papers of the collection and then further embellished with the sweet stickers, chipboard and Bits & Pieces!

Both drawers pull out and are large enough for small gifts. I stuffed the top drawer with an adorable teddy bear chipboard sticker and made a gift card holder from more of the beautiful paper, adding a couple of stickers as well. The onesie, part of the Bits & Pieces, has it's own little hanger and hangs perfectly from a knob- too cute!

The top of the dresser is loaded with more of the adorable accessories from the collection. I almost couldn't stop my self from adding more they are so sweet! I dressed it up with a small doily and some miniature diapers embellished with more of the patterned paper.  The framed picture is one of the 4x6 stickers and I mixed chipboard, stickers and Bits & Pieces for a wonderfully jumbled look! The coordinating card was simply created with a couple of the adorable 4x4 element cards and embellished with sweet stickers

Even though there is plenty of pink and blue mixed in with the other pastel colors, this collection is beautifully gender neutral. There are the most darling animal images in this collection as well a delightful mix of butterflies, hearts, flowers and bows. Everything you need to make a beautiful gift for a beautiful baby!

Happy Mama's Day!

Hi everyone! Llamas are totally trending right now and these featured in the Simple Stories 'Mama Llama' paper collection are super adorable. Any mama that gets a card with one of these cuties will be very happy indeed!

This multi-dimensional card shows off some of the darling patterned paper in the background. The oval frame was die cut from some coordinating textured coral card stock and popped off of the background with foam. Inside the frame, I tucked in a lovely little llama along with some solid color die cut flowers and leaves. I added in more blooms with a pretty sticker from the collection and added a few gem centers for shine!

The large sentiment banner is also a sticker from the collection and is mounted on top of the frame. For even more dimension, I layered in some tiny leafy die cuts that just peek around the banner.

Punny Chair Card!

Hi everyone! Sometimes puns can be so amusing and the sentiment on this clean and simple card is definitely one of those times! The font is simple and the sentiment is sweet and it goes perfectly with the cute chair in this oldie but goodie stamp set!

The color scheme for the new Color Throwdown #491 is soft and soothing and I was also inspired by the gorgeous living room in the photo! I started with a simple watercolor background that I knew I would be layering upon. I used a mix of orange and pink paints to get the coral color and then softened it a bit by dating it with a paper towel.

The furniture on my card is all stamped in the challenge colors and are popped off the background just a little for dimension. I added a strip of coral card stock to the card base and a bit of kraft twine behind the sentiment. The sequin are a dark gold in a matte finish along with some tiny shiny ones in a pretty orange color.

Mama Llama Party!

You will be getting your mom a card for Mother's Day and you can even get her a gift but how about you bake her a cake and make the whole day a fun and super cute celebration!

The 'Mama Llama' paper collection from Simple Stories is full of beautiful colors and the cutest mama llamas ever! I was so inspired by these adorable animals, I made my own sweet llama and dressed it up with all of the fun papers and stickers from the collection!

I found this paper llama and cactus at this website by illustrator and paper engineer Tina Krause. It took a little bit to cut all of the pieces out but then they were super easy to assemble. Once that was done I used the colorful patterned papers to make a saddle blanket complete with fringe. I layered that with a couple of the stickers from the collection.

The flower banner around the llamas neck is also a sticker and then I simply punched some circles form the other patterns and strung those together on some shiny gold thread! I cut three 1 inch by 2 inch pieces of patterned paper and cut 'fringe' into each for the tassel. These were rolled up and glued onto more of the gold thread and then looped onto the ear.

I die cut the fiesta flags from more of the colorful papers and strung those together for a charming banner, adding in smaller fishtail flags and a few stickers for extra cuteness! The sign, made from one of the stickers in the collection, is mounted on a folded piece of paper and highlighted with a sentiment! Simple but perfect! Be sure and give your mom a kiss on Mother's Day!
