The Alley Way Stamps August Release Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Today is the day! It's time for the incredible TAWS blog hop to show off all of the new stamps for August! One lucky reader will win the ENTIRE release so be sure and comment as many times as you can!

I am showcasing the super fun set of TA-DA! This set is loaded with so many 'magical' images that can be used to create so many different cards and projects! I see some interactive cards being made with this stamp set!

I originally had planned to do a small shaker out of the crystal ball, but once I cut the center out of the image I was like, whoa…. this looks like a diamond ring! So, lo and behold, a wedding card was created! I embossed the circles of the image in silver and then added lots of glitter for the diamond. I added in a Versamark bird image from the set along with the tiny heart in silver. The sweet sentiment is from the Speak Easy set.

A combination of sentiments from Baby Talk and Bite Size make up the happy sentiment inside! I added in one more flying bird and another tiny heart- too cute! Such versatility in this amazing set!

If you want to be the lucky winner to win all three sets all you have to do is comment on the hop!

TAWS August Release Sneak Peek Day #1

Hi everyone! It's my favorite time of the month! Time for a whole new crop of stamps from The Alley Way Stamps and today is just the first day of fantastic sneak peeks!

I love floral stamp sets! Last month there was Pick One which was full of large, bold images that could be layered for gorgeous effect! This month, there is a new floral set full of delicate, smaller floral images that will let you create beautiful gardens to your hearts content! It is aptly named Flower Show!

I wanted this stunning bloom to be the star of the show so I stamped it in triplicate, colored it in deep pinks and reds and popped it off a tag and a frame background! The starburst pattern on the tag, stamped in Versamark ink, is also part of this fantastic set! I added in a simple sentiment and some tiny gems for sparkle!

I used more of the pretty Echo Park 6x6 papers on the inside and stamped more of these delicate images again in Versamark. They show up so beautifully on the kraft card stock. I can't wait for you to see all of the tiny bloom combinations this set can create! Head over to The Alley Way Stamps blog to see more super sneak peeks of this set and be sure and check out all of the sneak peeks this week!

In my prayers….

Hi everyone! Another fab card featuring the gorgeous flower images of the new stamp set, Pick One, from The Alley Way Stamps! These stamps have been so much fun to create with and I know they won't be far from my crafty desk anytime soon! I just have to make room for the new August release!

This delicate and pretty card was crafted in shades of pink and grays with a bit of soft blue thrown in.  I was also inspired by this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge of 'Embossing'. The background and the smaller label are both dry embossed with delightful textures and the sprigs are wet embossed with clear embossing powder. I then layered the gorgeous floral images cut from the Pick One SVG file along with a simple sentiment. Wouldn't this brighten the day for someone not feeling well?

Another pretty border on the inside with a few of the flowers just stamped onto the card stock. Plenty of room to write a sweet and uplifting message!

Make sure you come back and visit tomorrow- it's the first day of Sneak Peeks for the August Release from The Alley Way Stamps! You won't want to miss it!

Housewarming Watercolor!

Hi everyone! Have you checked out the new neighborhood stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps? Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood is a set of charming houses and buildings with adorable accessories that can be mixed and matched for total cuteness!

This set is perfect to create a housewarming gift for new home owners or new neighbors! I stamped the images in a light distress ink and then watercolored the images with more distress ink and a water brush. The colors are still vibrant but with soft edges! There is a cloud image included in the set but I painted these fluffy ones freehand to keep that soft look and then stamped the tiny polka dots with a stamp from Wreathed in Love. A tag with another of the adorable images from the set adorned with a metal key is the perfect embellishment!

I included a picture of the frame with the glass in so you could see the finished product but there is also that glare from the photo lights. Trust me, it looks wonderful in real life!

TAWS Be Inspired Challenge #55

Hi everyone! It's time for a new Be Inspired Challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps! The inspiration photo is perfect for hot Summer Days - cold and sweet pink lemonade. Who doesn't love an icy glass of pure summer sweetness?

I played on the lemonade inspiration and created some pink lemon wedges with the super cute mini set, Lemon Squeezy. That is where pink lemonade comes from, right? I colored the wedges with a few shades of pink Copic markers and added some Stickles glitter for more sweetness and shine. I love red and pink together and added in some striped ribbon to match the photo and a bright red sentiment too! The tiny starburst image stamped in a watery blue, is from the set Buggin' Out.

On the inside, just one lemon wedge image and another bright red sentiment! Did this post make you yearn for an icy glass of pink lemonade? Yum!

Little Birdie Notecards!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday to you! Summer is in full swing here in Colorado and our backyard is full of birds chirping and flying and pooping…that is my least favorite part! However, they have inspired me to get crafty and create this sweet notecard set!

I started with a cute little house from the new Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood stamp set and then added in lots of green boughs and colored berries from the also new mini stamp set Wreathed in Love. The tiny birdie was cut from the Birds of a Feather SVG file and then stamped in a different color for each card. Don't you just love that little heart on its bottom!?!

A simple sentiment adorns each notecard and I used three different stamp sets for just the right word! The scalloped edges add a bit of interest and I used lots of bright colors!

Cute little notecards for just about any occasion! These would make an adorable gift for somebody sweet and special!
