Let's Make Magic!

Hi everyone! You certainly can create a little card magic with The Alley Way Stamps- especially when you combine adorable sets like I have on this card!

I started with the awesome star image from this months free with purchase mini set, Now You See Me! I used only the small stars of the stamp for the main card border and then the whole stamp on the top layer. I kept this card a bit more masculine with the colors of blue and gray and added in some fun feathers too! The top hat and wand images are from the TA DA stamp set and go perfectly with this cute bunny! The sentiment is also a combination of some other great TAWS sets!

For the inside, I added another starred border and then just a sweet sentiment from the Flower Doodle set. I couldn't resist adding in one more adorable bunny too!

Sweet Little Bees…..

Hi everyone! I just can't resist using this new floral set from The Alley Way Stamps, Flower Show! Alison created the most awesome and adorable flower images for this set along with the cutest buzzing bees!

I created this card using only the Flower Show set and kept it pretty much one layer ( a real feat for me!) I only added one thin layer of vellum over the stamped front for a subtle color change and so the sweet bees could really shine! All of the edges were cut with a Stampin' Up border punch so it's not your typical A2 size card. It's always good to step out of he box for a bit!

The inside is clean and simple with just a collage of images in the corner and lots of room to write a touching message. If you love designing with floral stamps, this set is a must-have!

Magic Man!

Hi everyone! A bit of fun magic today with a bright and colorful card! This handsome gentleman is from the new set, Ta Da, released this month by The Alley Way Stamps! Plus there are other 'magical' images and sentiments too!

I used the Ta Da SVG file to cut out the images of the magician, the hat and wand before stamping and coloring them with Copic markers. I attached his hat and wand (with some strategically placed slits) and then popped everything off the amusing background! The sparkly gems are just floating out of that wand!

I used a couple of older TAWS stamp sets for the inside to create this happy birthday sentiment and then added in another magic top hat and more gems for shine! May the magic always be with you!

TAWS Be Inspired Challenge #56

Hi everyone! A brand new challenge for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge is on! You have 4 whole weeks to ink up your TAWS stamps and get crafty with us! Plus you could win some great stamp sets too! Be sure and visit the BIC challenge blog for all of the details!

The inspiration picture, below, is very soothing with it's shadowy tones and muted colors. The quilts in the picture add a spot of color and keep it soft and comfy. Don't you just want to crawl in that boat and take a nice long nap?

I chose to use the quilts as my starting point for this card and created some tiny quilt squares of mixed patterns for the front. I layered these over an embossed background to mimic the shadows and layers of the picture. A sweet little boat from Got It Covered and a encouraging sentiment from True Colors make for an uplifting card!

The inside is nice and simple with just a touch more of yellow and an outline of that cute boat! The sentiment, from the Speak Easy set, is one we can all appreciate!

So Many Candles….

Hi everyone! I have another fabulous card to share created with the new sentiment strips from Out Of This World by The Alley Way Stamps! The five sentiments included in this set are great for so many occasions!

This card features a birthday sentiment that looks wonderful and happy embossed in red! It's a perfect companion to the candle from the Wish Big set. I jazzed up the background with lots of dots from Seeing Spots and added in some patterned paper from the 6x6 'Wave Searcher' paper pad by Fancy Pants Design. All of the candles are paper pieced with the same bright paper too! A few candy dots add to the cheery red in the card.

More happy dots along with a paper pieced candle for the inside. This fitting sentiment is also from the Wish Big stamp set!

Twinkle, Twinkle…..

Hi there! Showcasing a new sentiment stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps today- Out Of This World! This card has been in my head for a while but I have been a little flower obsessed so it had to wait! It turned out just the way I had imagined- all soft and pretty!

Watercolors are a good way to achieve soft effects and what could be better for a new baby card?! I actually inked up the images then spritzed them with water before stamping. The Out Of This World set works great for this with the solid backgrounds! The sentiment really stands out! The starry background is from Star of the Show and looks beautiful in shades of pink and blue. I layered that with the adorable SVG cuts from Nap Time and gave them each a bit of glittery shine. The cabbage ribbon is watercolored too and topped off with shiny sequin stars! I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge 'Make It Sparkle'!

More soft and flowy stars on the inside as well as a watercolor sentiment from Baby Talk. A bit more glitter and shiny stars make for a sweet new baby card!
