Celebrating You!

Hi everyone! Here today with a colorful card I created to celebrate the birthday of my dear mother in law. She is a sweet and classy lady and I wanted a card that reflected those wonderful qualities.

This delightful  butterfly really pops against the all white background and I added in some dry embossed layers for pretty dimensions. Then for an even brighter pop, I added in a few touches of gold!

On the inside, more of the pretty embossing highlights a beautiful birthday wish and a few gold gems are the finishing touch! Perfect for a beautiful lady!

Monthly Mini: June

Hi everyone! It's time again to showcase another fabulous mini scrapbook! I'm sure I have mentioned many times how I LOVE making minis and I enjoy it even more when I have a particular recipient in mind! This little beauty was created as a wedding gift for my sister.

The base of this mini is a Heidi Swapp Make Pretty Stuff album with a gorgeous laser cut wood front. I was going to paint it but when I completed the album I thought it looked just great in it's natural state. I then delved into my stash of designer paper pads and goodies and found the beautifully shabby chic Flea Market collection by Crate Paper. I had all of the chipboard pieces, flowers and embellishments  so I could create an adorably stuffed and layered mini.

The front of the album has a printed acetate sheet with it but I replaced it with a blank one to show off the charming Flea Market collection.

Sweet flowers, hearts and doilies for the inside front cover. The Flea Market paper pad has a sheet with printed sayings on it and I included one or two on each page.

Beautiful roses are the background for amazing wedding photos. Hearts and butterflies are a pretty touch!

A big shiny bow adorns this page along with a multi-layered butterfly!

More room for pictures of the lovely couple and lots of cute embellishments!

This vellum striped envelope was added to hold treasured mementos of the day. I added some shabby chic closures and more goodies from the collection!

Lots of gold accents throughout! This page has a small journaling spot too!

Multiple hearts adorn the corner of this page and are layered over some of the gorgeous paper!

I adore polka dots! I'm so glad this collection had lots of polka dotted paper and embellishments!

More beautiful flowers and gold accents make this a pretty page!

Another shot of this gorgeous gift! Hope this inspires you to make pretty stuff of your own!

Dahlia Wedding Card

Hi everyone! May and June are definitely the popular months for weddings! Thank goodness I have a nice stash of wedding cards but today's card is a new one that I crafted for my sister and her new husband!

I started with an ivory base and added in some delicate swiss dot embossed details. The main focal point is the lovely dahlia accompanied by a big bow. I also added another bow to the corner and a simple sentiment perfect for the occasion! Pearls are always the perfect touch for a wedding card!

A bit of the embossed detail on the inside along with another pretty bow and pearls. The sentiment is stamped in two colors to add a bit of color!

Hello Summer!

Hi everyone! I'm not sure about your neck of the woods but here in Colorado, Summer is taking it's sweet time to get here. We are supposed to hit close to 90 degrees by the end of the week and I couldn't be more excited! The card I made to show my excitement is also perfect for the Curtain Call Challenge- Flip Flops!

This card is done in bright, summery colors and I combined these cute flip flops with some fun stripes and colorful candy dots! The sentiment, which is popped up over some of the images, is pretty much how I feel about Summer- my favorite season!

The inside is clean and simple with one more adorable sandal and a fun sentiment! I am so ready to break out my collection of flip flops for hot summer days!
