Fun Gift For A Fungi!

Hi everyone! It's day three of the The Alley Way Stamps January release sneak peeks! It also happens to be my son's birthday so I took this opportunity to create a cute gift bag and matching tag! I am showcasing a couple of small images from the soon to be released 'Enchanted' stamp set! They may be small but they pack a lot of punch! There are lots of other adorable images and sentiments with this stamp set!

The bag started out as a plain white  paper sack. I stamped the mushroom image a few times and then colored them with Copic markers. I added in a little background accent stamp also from the 'Enchanted' set and then folded the bag over and added a bit of bright paper, some denim and some colorful burlap.

I repeated the stamping and coloring on the kraft tag and popped one mushroom out a little. I attached it to the bag using the button from the jeans I cut the denim from! The sentiment is too funny! My son is a fun guy and since he reads my blog he will see this little gift before he gets to open it. It's just the right size for the keys to that Bugatti he's been wanting!

Head on over to the TAWS Blog to see how you can win this sweet little stamp set ! Be sure and come back tomorrow for the TAWS January Release Blog Hop and see all of the new stamps!

I am entering this gift bag into the Paper Issues 'Shiny and New ' challenge too!

It's Twins!

Hi everyone! Just a quick post today to show the card I created to go along with the adorable baby girl mini albums (1 and 2) I created for my friend that had twin girls in September!

For the front of the card I used some sweet girly papers and added an embellished heart and a strip of paper lace that has been misted for sparkle. The highlight of the front is the delightful little baby buggy carrying two sweet babies!

On the inside, a cute sentiment I found on the internet and printed onto card stock. I added a few gems and then tied the whole card closed with silky pink ribbon!

Christmas Tags!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you that this is my last Christmas post of the year! Yay! I have used all of my Christmas themed paper and most of my embellishments so I am DONE!

I was asked to create some tags for drinkable gifts (if you get my drift) and these are two that I created. Both of these are hang tags cut with an MFT die and then decorated with 'Tis the Season' paper by Echo Park. Very festive indeed!

This first tag features a chipboard accent from the 'Tis the Season' collection layered over the gorgeous paper and a chipboard border. I added glitter to the ornaments on the tree (see above) and a sweet mini wreath is the finishing touch!

I knew from the second that I got this PTI Christmas Tree die that I wanted to create a shaker with it and it looks great on this tag! I used more of the beautiful 'Tis the Season' papers and filled this shaker tree with Lawn Fawn sequins. I added a charming holiday sentiment and a bright golden star. Now my friend will have tasty AND beautiful gifts to give!

Merry Christmas to all! May you have a safe and happy holiday!

Manly Cards!

Hi everyone! I rarely create masculine cards. It's just so much easier to use sparkle and bling and make cards for women. However, my dad just recently celebrated his 75th birthday and I knew I just had to create a card for him!

I started with this card.  I adore this 'Somethin' is Fishy' stamp by Unity and have been wanting to use it for awhile. So, I made the whole card and although I think it's a fantastic card, it was just missing that BIG birthday feel. I especially like the twine knot in the metal belt buckle!

So...I created another one that has a lot of the same styling but is definitely more birthday -ish.  I used the 6x6 'Hipster' paper collection from Basic Grey for both cards- cool  colors and manly graphics. Each card features a Maya Rd. manila tag and I spotlighted the number 75 on this one. I added a banner and colored wooden stars along with some metal accents and twine.

A quick picture of the inside of the birthday card with more stars, gifts and metal. Of course I wrote my dad a special message for this momentous occasion and I surely hope there are lots more birthdays to come!
