Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!  Happy Halloween to you all! Here is my holiday card to you.  This is my final creation using the Theresa Collins' Masquerade Party' paper collection. It has been a blast creating so many cute and special items with this collection.

I used more of the paper for the card base and then added lots of the die cut pieces for the banner on the front.  A fun brad and some holiday twine accent the banner and really show the beautiful designs in this collection!

On the inside I simply added a few pieces of the paper cut into shapes and left the rest black for some ghostly white writing!

Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween and get all the treats you want! Be careful out there!

Beautiful card for a beautiful girl!

Hi everyone!  I'm taking a small Halloween post break to bring you the card I made for my daughter on her recent birthday.  She is on her own in the big city of San Francisco and her dad and I could not be happier for her!
I wanted to create a card that would reflect her personality.  She is very on trend and loves art and I knew the simple beauty of paint splashed on a card would appeal to her. The 'Abstract Art' stamp set from My Favorite Things makes this look effortless.  All I had to do was to pick her favorite colors and the stamps did all the hard work! This may become my new fave stamp set- love it!
The inside has more paint splashes and a simple sentiment.  I wanted a lot of space to write a special message to her but even the biggest of spaces aren't enough room to express all of the love, joy, pride and happiness we have gotten from having her in our lives. Happy birthday sweetie! Love you!
***Now for a special message***
Speaking of my daughter... She is a wedding design associate at Minted. If you haven't heard of Minted already, they support independent designers by choosing their favorite designs from designers around the world, and these designers get a percentage of the sales from their designs.  They have all kinds of gorgeous stationary and paper products!
I'm proud to say that my daughter has submitted a few of her own designs for this year's wedding challenge!  If her designs get chosen, they will be on sale on the website, giving her recognition of her creativity (and a little spending money!). The best way to get her designs chosen is to like them and provide feedback with comments now and then vote on the designs at a later date (I'll let you know when).
Please view her designs at minted.com/designer/hkchaussee and like and comment on the ones you like! I know she will really appreciate it, and you may even find something that you want for your next event! Thanks so much!

Beware! Super Cute Mini Ahead!

Hi everyone! Another fabulous creation to show you today using the gorgeous Theresa Collins 'Masquerade Party' collection! I wanted to create a small mini scrapbook for my niece to show off pictures of her and her friends in their Halloween costumes.  This one fits the bill perfectly!

I started with coasters from Papertrey Ink and then covered and attached them all together with the fabulous 'Masquerade Party' papers. Each section is marked with a die-cut label from the collection.  Too cute! I am entering this mini into the Simon Says stamp Blog Monday Challenge: Spooky

Each set of pages has a different pattern and lots of sparkly gems, brads and die-cuts.  So much fun to layer and embellish!

I glossy accented the yummy lollipops and gave them a sparkly center!

This skull and crossbones is a lot less scary with big gems for eyes!

This is the perfect Halloween treat- sweet without the risk of cavities!

Dimensional Leaf Wreath

Hi everyone! More Fall goodness to share with you today! The new Make It Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink is to create a dimensional leaf wreath.  I had to again pull out my Rosie Posie die and stamp set to create my layered wreath.

I wanted an interesting background for my leaves and I stamped a border along the edge and then embossed the honeycombs onto the rest of the paper.  A little bit of ink rubbed onto the surface really shows off the pattern!

I used delicious Fall colors for my large leaves and glittered the edges a bit.  I then cut smaller leaves from the Scent-imentals and Mini Blooms die sets and added dimension with the coordinating stamps. All of the leaves were layered together to create this beauty! Lastly, I added a couple of bows and a tremendous tag along with a sentiment also from the Mini Blooms stamp set.

The inside is wide open for a handwritten heartfelt Fall greeting.  This would  be a wonderful Thank You card for a Thanksgiving hostess too! I am entering this card into the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger: Enthralled with Fall!  The gorgeous colors of the leaves inspired the colors of my pretty leaves.  Check out the trigger below!

Trio of Treats!

Hi everyone! Halloween is drawing near and I figured this was a great time to get my holiday creations posted!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to create and decorate for and today I have some sweet treat holders to share.
I used more of my Theresa Collins 'Masquerade Party' for this lovely trio and what fun these were to create!  I had to stop myself at three different ones or I would have just gone on and on crafting and creating! I am entering this trio into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Spooky

First up is a sweet little clear box from Garnish.  I love how you can see the holiday candy peeking out from the decorations!  This treat holder features a washi tape and paper border around the bottom with some fancy cut borders up the sides.  It's topped with a big looped bow and a spooky tag!  So cute!

A close-up of the beautiful looped bow courtesy of Papertrey Inks' Loopsy Daisy die and accented with a decorative brad!

Next is a simple, but oh so adorable, glassine bag from Fancy Pants Studio.  The black and white polka dots were a perfect background for 'Masquerade Party' decorative die-cut banners and a creepy little skeleton!  There is some crackle paint on the skeleton for a glossy glittery look and I put some springs behind him so he would bounce up and down on the envelope!

Lastly is a little basket of treats created with a small paper bag and decorated with more of the gorgeous TC paper, die cuts and decorative brads.  I added some heat curled ribbon and some twine around a clever paper and washi tape handle.

A close-up of the cute little handle created with the 'Masquerade Party' coordinating washi tape!

Hope this gives you some inspiration to create your own Halloween treat holders!
