Hi everyone! My maternal Grandmother turned 95 years old in September! What a milestone! Plus, she is still sharp as a tack and zips around her retirement community busy as a bee. She is such a great woman and a sweet friend and I love her dearly.
Our family got together to help her celebrate this big event last month. She is one of my biggest fans so of course I had to create a special birthday card for her. One of her favorite colors is peach so right away I knew I wanted to use My Mind's Eye Indie Chic 'Ginger' paper with it's gorgeous orange prints.
I took one of the 6 x 6 pages and cut a scalloped circle in it and then added a smaller scalloped circle around the border. I used the other 6 x 6 sheet of the same paper in the pack and fussy cut out the flowers and leaves and attached them over the other flowers for some beautiful dimension. I also added more die cut flowers using My Favorite Things and Papertrey Ink dies. Lots of glitter and sparkly gems add more shine.
A close-up of the dimension of all of the gorgeous flowers and die cuts!
On the inside a very beautiful and heartfelt sentiment surrounded by more of the pretty "Ginger' patterns. A beautiful card for a lady that is beautiful on the inside and out!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
