Elegant Wedding Cards!

Hi there!  I have more wedding cards to show today as this has been the year of weddings for us! Both of these cards have already been given to the lucky couples along with the ever popular gift of gift cards:)

For both I used the new Papertrey Ink 'Twist Die' cover plate and just changed up the color scheme. The designer paper is also from PTI in True Black and Hawaiian Shores and is layered over a very subtle shimmery polka dot paper.  I added shiny ribbon to both along with beautiful flowers.

The turquoise card flowers are all cut from PTI dies and the black card features gorgeous crystal flowers from Queen & Co that are even more beautiful in person! The now appropriate "Mr. and Mrs" die cut is from the Cricut 'Sweethearts' cartridge.

The inside of both cards have a beautiful lovey sentiment from PTI's  'Love and Marriage' stamp set and of course, more beautiful embellishments befitting this special day!

For Daddy

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing the card I created for my Dad for this Father's Day.  We will actually be celebrating his special day tomorrow, Saturday, because he is golfing on Sunday.  My Dad is a really good golfer and goes every chance he gets and of course as it is his day he can do whatever he wants:)

For this card I used the  "Mighty" designer paper from the Authentique 'Strong' collection. It features a crossword puzzle print which is perfect for my dad and I knew he would appreciate it.  I also used the coordinating die cut paper accents and I think they say all the right things about him:)  I die cut chevrons for a more interesting background and then layered lots of fishtail banners, wood pieces and metal accents.

This little sentiment is the whole reason I fell in love with this collection. It reminds me so much of my childhood.

The inside of the card with more chevrons and metal accents.  I just had to add in some of these male figures from Maya Road because I think they are so cute!

Father's Day Gift!

Hi everyone! As you know, Father's Day is coming up this Sunday. Hopefully you all have your gifts ready to go but I have a post for you in case you need a bit of last minute inspiration. This is also the Themed Thursday post over at the Paper Wings Productions blog, The Aviary, so please check it out!

Gift cards are always a perfect fit, especially for those men in your life that are hard to buy for or already have everything. And what man doesn't appreciate some fancy packaging!

This cute little gift card holder was, in it's former life, a spice tin from World Market but I knew it had a lot more life in it! I used my most manly Paper Wings Productions stamp set, the ever adorable and dapper Marcel, to create a Happy Father's Day cover. All of the paper is from Stampin' Up! as well as the metal accents. The bingo card is from Theresa Collins and is normally larger that this one but I resized it on my printer to make it small enough to fit the top of the tin. I stamped and then cut Marcel out and popped him off a background of his cane and bow tie and gave him a fancy little hat to wear. The banner is my favorite part and the sentiments in the set are perfectly fitting.

A close -up of the edge of the tin with some masculine metal accents!

The card is a mini designed to fit inside along with the gift card. I used the same papers and added some die cut letters along with another banner and sweet sentiment to celebrate all the good things our dads do for us!

Together Forever!

Hi everyone! It has been a wedding frenzy around our house!  As of this post, we will have already been to 4 weddings with more to come!  This is just one of the wedding cards I have made for the happy couples.  Good thing I love weddings!

This is a big card and I wanted to make it elegant with a bit of splash. I die cut a heart shape and then added a clear cover and popped out the backside so I would have room to add these sparkly iridescent sequins. All of the stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink and I created this card in shades of purple for a soft romantic look.

A close up look at the beautiful sentiments on the outside and the inside!

The inside of the card all opened up.  I added another heart for the sentiment and another die-cut along with a money holder- perfect gift for newlyweds.  I left plenty of space to write my personal message to the bride and groom.

Another close-up of the sweet little money pocket.

When I think of summer I can't help but think about all of the good fruit that is available to munch on! Strawberries are one of my very favorites so I couldn't resist creating a basket full of the next best thing- paper strawberries!

Of course these had to be as sweet as the real thing so in each berry I added a small sweet treat or an inspirational quote. So much fun for whover opens the berry!

I cut all of the strawberries from a template that I had and then stamped a variety of  fun and beautiful Paper Wings Productions designs.  Some are stamped in ink, others embossed but they all look good enough to eat!

The berry basket, from Garnish, is decorated with a plaid pattern I created using the front and back sides of the stripes from the Marcel set.  I added a sweet flower border and a pretty little tag.

The card features the same plaid pattern and scalloped borders. I also added a stamped flower background and some ribbon.  The felt flowers on both the card and basket are from Stampin' Up!

There you have it -  my summer fun project for Paper Wings Productions!  Make sure you visit Amber, Norma and Dana next as I know they have beautiful projects to share with you.
6/13/13- this post has been edited to add it to the Moxie Fab Mixy-Matchy Style challenge
