Monthly Mini: January

Hi everyone! I have a new monthly series starting today called Monthly Mini! I will be showcasing a different mini scrapbook handcrafted by yours truly every month for the entire year! I am super excited about this because mini scrapbooks are one of my favorite things to craft.  Plus, I have a huge stash of paper and embellishments that are taking up a ton of space in my craft room so this way I'll be killing two birds with one stone!

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I thought it would be fitting to create a love-filled mini perfect for the sweet holiday! Most of the supplies for this mini came from The Button Farm Club  which features a monthly mini you can purchase a la carte or in a monthly subscription! I added in some extra goodies  for more layers and embellishments!

The paper pack included with this mini was the 'Unforgettable' 6x6 pad from My Mind's Eye along with the coordinating decorative stickers. Also included was a Farmhouse mini envelope album with three chipboard pages and three envelopes that were just begging for decoration! This is the inside cover of the album with one of the stickers layered together with a die-cut heart, a Lawn Fawn flair button and a paper tag from Chic Tags. I also added in one tiny heart button!

This page features some of the pretty papers from the collection along with some sweet hearts and stickers!

A canvas banner tag highlights this page complete with an adorable little couple!

I dressed up the first envelope of the mini with a sentiment card from the collection and a bow tied arrow! These envelopes are perfect for saving all of your special mementos!

A happy yellow bow and some sparkly gems are layered with a lacy doily!

A combo of papers here along with some of the coordinating stickers and lots of falling hearts! Too cute!

The second envelope is embellished with some paper lace and a sweet heart paperclip!

Heart garland and bright green twine make for a happy page! Love the pearls in the corner!

A charming little tag is tied onto the green twine and highlighted with some pretty stick pins.

I left a small space open on the last envelope to journal something sweet about a special someone and I couldn't resist one big heart! A lot pf pictures I know but I hope you enjoyed this adorable mini scrapbook. Be sure and check back next month to see another!

Songbird Birthday!

Hi everyone! I'm ready for winter to be over! We have had so much snow here in Colorado and I am so tired of shoveling and shoveling and shoveling....good thing it's a good workout or I would just give it up! I needed a bit of color in my life and the Papertrey Ink MIM #198 gave me just the opportunity I needed!

The challenge this week is to create a trifold card or invitation. This card was a really nice change from your average A2 card and I decorated and embellished all that extra card space to my hearts content! I started with the PTI stamp set Songbirds so I could at least think of warmer weather and used the coordinating dies to create pretty layers for my card front. I also created a tag with the songbird die to dress up the closure of the card!

There are actually three panels on the inside that can be decorated but i chose to do the bottom two only. The center of my card has another leafy die cut in the background and a sweet scalloped pocket ready for a gift card or good old fashioned cash! I left some space pen on the bottom to write in a special birthday wish!

The card is tied closed with a bit of coordinating ribbon and looks pretty open or closed! What a treat it will be to give this card away!

Wreath Of Hearts!

Hi everyone! Popping in with another Valentine's Day card! This one is much more traditional in it's color scheme and with lots of itty bitty hearts!

This card started with the idea to use the PTI Rustic Wreath die in the design and I knew I wanted to layer a couple of the wreath pieces. I played around with other colors and decided on a happy green as the complement. The background is double embossed with lots of happy polka dots as well!

And then what fun to add in all of those hearts in different sizes and shapes! So cute to layer itty bitty ones on top of the larger hearts and pink and red is one of my favorite color combos! The finishing touches were some itty bitty red gems and a twine bow with a few falling hearts.

The inside has a super happy and sweet sentiment perfect for those you love dearly, just not romantically! A few more hearts and gems add the final touches here!
