Hi everyone! This is the year! The year that I finally make an advent calendar- something I have been wanting to do for a long time but always put off. Of course, when I decide to make an advent calendar, I go all out and it took me a lot longer than I expected. But it was oh so worth it! Now my kids are grown and so they won't experience the firsthand joy of this advent calendar (I can hear them groaning "but Mom...you never did this for us...") but they will get to enjoy all of it's adorable-ness through pictures like you!
I knew that I wanted to do a big basket of goodies for my calendar and I picked this basket up at Hobby Lobby and gave it a few extra touches. Even with the bright confetti borders and big paper bow, it still looks a little forlorn empty....
So, I started with Crate Papers 'Bundled Up' collection and let me tell you, it was hard to pick a Christmas paper this year. They were all so beautiful! I also used the coordinating 'Bundled Up' die cuts and adhesive badges along with a bit of Echo Park's 'Tis the Season' paper. Below is the sweet basket full of Christmas goodies!
To make it a bit easier on the eyes, I photographed the goodies together in groups of eight. I could have shown individual pictures of each but oh my gosh, this post would have gone on forever! These are days 1-8.
Here are the sweet packages for days 9-16!
And finally, the days of 17-24!
Of course, I had to show individual pictures of some of my favorites! It was so hard picking out just a few. Please enjoy the show!
Finally, a letter from the jolly man himself straight from the North Pole letting these lucky kids know they have made it on the 'Nice' list!
That's it! Thanks so much for taking the time to have a look! I know it was a long post, but wasn't it fun? I will be giving this advent calendar to a special little family that I know will have so much fun with each and every day. This truly was a labor of love.
Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
