Capture Every Moment!

Hi everyone! I love to travel! There is nothing better than seeing another part of this fabulous world and the people in it!  The jolly 'Travel Notes' collection  from Simple Stories captures the beautiful essence of roaming the globe and is perfect for documenting all the fun a trip can have!

On our vacations, we take a TON of pictures and to document them all would fill a giant scrapbook. I think there is nothing better than to take a small segment or subject of your trip and capture those memories in an adorable mini! I took this colorful, fun collection and created a travel notebook documenting our days spent in Cinque Terre on a trip to Italy last year!

I cut one of the lovely patterned papers to 8x11 inches to use for my cover and embellished it with lots of the playful stickers and Bits & Pieces. I then laminated my cover for extra durability. Holes were punched at the top and bottom for the elastic holders on the inside and on the back page for the closure. There is room for photo pages and a journal that holds notes of our entire trip!

Inside, the book is filled with four folded pages, each one a different pattern of paper. All in all, I have sixteen pages to document my favorite memories. Plus, I made pockets for seven of the pages that are holding flip books or tags for even more photos and mementos!

Each of these wonderful pages and pockets have all been delightfully decorated with the bright and playful stickers, chipboard, Bits & Pieces and washi tape of the collection! You will have so much fun with this collection it will be like taking your trip all over again!

Below is a video so you can see this super cute album in its entirety!

Beaver Birthday!

Hi everyone! My niece recently celebrated her 14th birthday and I wanted to make her a card that  was still cute-sy but didn't make her feel like a kid. This 'Dam Good' stamp set by Darcies Heart and Home fits the bill perfectly!

The cute little beaver was stamped in Memento Tuxedo black and colored with Copic markers to match the coordinating tin pin embellishment that fits right on the face. I also added in two fish-y balloons and after coloring them, gave them a nice glittery sheen with a Wink of Stella pen.

I chose patterned papers in a great combo of coral and aqua to match the balloons and layered them for an interesting background! The sentiment was stamped in a pretty coral too and die cut into a small plaque shape. a few colored enamel dots were the finishing touch!

Flower Garden!

Hi everyone! Spring has sprung and in my neck of the woods we are just starting to see the beginning shoots of tulips and daffodils emerge. These burgeoning blooms inspired this lovely garden card made with the Simon Says Stamp March card kit.

I started by deciding on which of the patterned 6x6 papers I wanted to use. The patterns work so well together that I could really mix and match them in different shapes, edges and sizes. I also tucked in some tiny leaf sprigs in two different shades of green.

The Carta Bella Spring Market sticker sheet included in this kit is full of sweet and colorful flowers that look beautiful with the patterned papers. I layered these with one of the charming sentiment stickers and gave the card a bit of dimension by popping some of the areas up with foam tape. A few assorted rain dots are the final touch!

Scatter Kindness!

Hi everyone! I am just loving the color combo for the new Color Throwdown Challenge #487. Red and mint have always been one of my favorites and with the addition of pink it is even prettier!

I started by stamping the leafy flourishes onto the background in the soft mint color and was originally going to layer a few succulents over the top. But I needed more color and opted to stamp some pretty blooms instead! I chose to do a trio to mimic the mirrors in the inspiration picture and kept them all in the challenge colors.

Once the flowers were die cut, I layered them over the leaves and added a couple of shiny and colorful gems. To really make the sentiment stand out, I stamped it in red and added a few more shiny gems around it!

Basket Of Spring!

Hi everyone! Hopefully in your neck of the woods, Spring has sprung! Here in Colorado we have lots of sun but we are still getting snow and Spring always brings us some huge storms. In anticipation of a few gray days, I decided to make some pretty Spring decor.

The 'Welcome Spring' simple set from Simple Stories is full of bright and happy patterns and beautiful blooms in the most gorgeous colors! These patterns look so awesome together that I decided to pile them all together in one lovely basket full of Spring!

I created geometric shapes in varying sizes of all the paper patterns and then gave each  even more decoration with the charming stickers and sentiments in the collection! I stacked them all in a bright berry basket that is also happily embellished with more of the pretty paper and stickers!

This sweet little basket is sitting on a shelf in my studio and adds so much cheer and color! You must check out this paper collection with its bright rainbow of colors and perfect Spring sentiments!
