Bear Hugs!

Hi everyone! I'm a hugger so I was instantly drawn to this bear image from Concord & 9th. It is just the cutest and I knew it would look so awesome done in watercolors!  It's a;so perfect for the new Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge: Love

I wanted the bear to take center stage so I stamped him first in Versafine Ink and then gave him a  soft watercolor wash and added in some watercolor hearts. I added light gray paint for the shadow areas and to ground the bear so he wasn't floating!

After the sentiment was stamped, the card still needed 'something' so I added in some carefully flung red and pink splatters. The bit of flair in the corner is from a Fiskars punch and adds just the right amount of color to the card.

I mounted the card front onto a soft stone base and gave the bear a tiny bit of texture and shine with Glossy Accents on his eyes and nose! This card will make a perfect get well card or will even work for Valentine's Day!

Thanks for checking out my blog! Bee Happy!!
