Heritage Mini Album

Hi everyone!  I have been working on this heritage mini album for a little while and I finally completed it so I thought I would show you a few of my favorite pages. The mini album is from Bo Bunny and I used my favorite color combo of red, black and white.  I did add a few extra pages for special mementos.

Both of my parents are from Oklahoma near the panhandle and I have such wonderful memories of time spent there. My mothers parents lived on a farm and grew wheat and raised cattle while my father and his parents lived in town and owned the local gas station.  We had the best of both worlds!

My paternal grandparents high school senior pictures.

My Grandads' Mobil gas station in Jet, Oklahoma.  It is still there but is not a working station anymore.  My Grandad loved for all of his grandkids to come and visit him at work which we did often :)

These are pictures of my maternal grandparents.  My Grandma just recently celebrated her 94th birthday!

Oh the farm!  So much fun and laughter.  The smaller picture is of their house in the 1940's.

Pictures of my mom and dad as children and as seniors in high school.  So handsome and beautiful!  My father was an athlete and my mother was a cheerleader.  My father went on to become an engineer and my mother a schoolteacher.  Very inspiring!

Me and my brother and sisters.  I am the youngest (and the cutest!)

Our first home which my parents bought when I was born. As you can probably see from the pictures, our mom liked all us kids to dress in matching outfits.  I don't remember ever minding:)

The last page!  I just  need to finish writing about all of the great things I remember from my childhood.  Hope you enjoyed a peek into my family!

Thanks for checking out my blog!

  2. OMW Tara, this is so cool!! I have all of my pics like this together sitting in a box waiting for me to do something with them! lol! I even made a "family tree" for my side and my husbands side that goes as far back as 6 generations in some parts. I love this type of stuff! You did an excellent job, and this is something that can be passed down through your family for generations to come!
