Gratitude Basket!

Hi everyone! Thanksgiving is just a little over a week away and this has been my holiday to host for over the last 10 years! I love to have my family and friends come over for a day of fun, great food and lots of love! I am so very grateful for all of the special people in my life and I thought this year I would combine my love for them with my love of paper crafting and create this sweet gratitude basket!

This vintage photo crate from 7 Gypsies is just the perfect size to store all of the goodie bags and boxes that have been decorated and embellished with the beautiful and vibrant 'Cedar Lane' paper collection by Pink Paislee. I know I have been showing off lots of projects with this collection but I just had so much fun and inspiration using it!

First up, some sweet pillowboxes and a muslin bag that have been adorned with pieces of ephemera, lovely tags, washi tape and stickers! Love all of the gold accents!

The boxes of the basket! Such great paper designs that mix and match beautifully with the darling puffy stickers and ephemera pieces! I also added in some Fall colored twine and gold cording.

These are the largest pieces in the basket so they will hold some nice sized goodies! The kraft bag is decorated with a collage of paper and ephemera and topped off with a pretty fabric tag. One of the feather clips is just peeking out under some twine!  The coral bag is actually two banner dies stitched together with a twine handle!

And finally, the small bags of the basket. But remember what they say- good things come in small packages! These cuties all have touches of gold along with washi tape strips and those adorable puffy stickers!

I will be filling these with small gifts and trinkets to show my gratitude to the people in my life that love me. The best part will be giving out these hand-crafted tokens of my appreciation and making someone smile!

Wonder Brag Book!

Hi everyone! After completing my September Monthly Mini scrapbook, I had so many cute things and paper left over from the 'Wonder' collection by Crate Paper that I just had to make another project! One of the pieces of cardstock had these adorable  flash cards on it that were perfect for an even smaller mini- a brag book!

I cut out the individual cards and combined them with more cards and tags from the collection and doubled them up so they would be sturdy. Then the fun part.... adding in all of the fun and beautiful embellishments, stickers, candy dots and sequins! There were also some smaller ephemera pieces left that were perfect as sweet add ons to this book.

All in all, there are 13 photo spots in this tiny 3.75' book. I added in some gold instax frames I had on hand that complemented the gold in the collection. I kept it simple to flip through by using just one ring at the top and adding in another darling tag and tassel! These are the back sides of the pages!

A few of my favorite tiny pages.....

And a close-up of the gold frames I used.

Since I don't have any grandchildren yet, I may have to gift this to someone special. On the other hand it would look great in my collection of minis! I guess I can always fill it with pictures of my dogs!

Fall Foxes!

Hi everyone! Paper collections aren't just for cards and scrapbooking! I use them all the time to create cute home decor pieces and holiday decorations. Sometimes the embellishments with these collections are just so adorable you want to preserve them!

Foxes in real life are cute and adorable- especially the babies. We had a whole skulk of them in our backyard for a few months after the momma gave birth and they were so stinking' cute! However, they are also very pungent  and they gave my dog fleas so I would much rather have adorable paper ones like these two from the Pink Paislee 'Cedar Lane' collection.

I picked up a square frame from Michaels on clearance that was made of tiny squares of wood. I simply dressed it up with squares of the pretty 'Cedar Lane' paper and then topped it off with one of the gorgeous fabric tags from the collection. The ribbon and twine bow is topped off with one of the washi tape shapes along with a charming puffy sticker

I also stacked some of the papers for the picture area before adding in the snuggling foxes and more of the fab stickers along with some small dots I created with the gold thickers and a crop-o-dile. I distressed the top paper a bit for a little detail and popped the baby fox up too! 'Cedar Lane' is a Fall collection but after completing this I think it would make a super cute baby gift as well!

I have made some really awesome projects with this paper collection and have more to show! Please come back and visit!

A Stroll Down Cedar Lane!

Hi everyone! The leaves are falling and the weather is getting colder and it's time to focus on some beautiful Fall crafts! I recently picked up the gorgeous 'Cedar Lane' paper collection from Pink Paislee and am having so much fun crafting with it!

First up some cute cards made with the great 6x6 papers and lots of the charming ephemera. You will notice I added in some adorable puffy stickers too- my newest obsession!

The first card features a lovely Autumn hued plaid that I created myself with the TAWS 'Crossing Lines' stamp set (so sad they are closing). The final stripe of the plaid was embossed in gold and then extra glitter was added on top! I clustered and layered the ephemera off to one corner for a sweet Fall card!

I wanted to highlight this stunning acetate wreath from the ephemera pack so I kept the background simple by layering the pretty papers. I added an additional sprig of leaves on one side and some shiny gold gems. A simple bow is topped off with a gold Thicker heart! This will be the perfect card for a special someone in my life!

Be sure and check back to see what other goodies I create with this fabulous collection!
