For my May flowers project I decided to play around with some canvas and one of my favorite PWP stamp sets, 'Flower Power'. I created a gift set that will be perfect for any special lady on Mother's Day or anytime of the year.
The panel was painted with acrylic paint and then covered with some tissue paper. I layered a painted doily, some textured cardboard and a rub-on along with a piece of vellum stamped in acrylic paints.
The main feature of this is the large flower which I stamped onto the canvas and then colored with Copic markers to highlight its beauty and give it some extra color. I added a sweet sentiment from 'Kind Words' and a few simple embellishments.
The adorable card also has a small piece of canvas stamped with more flowers from the 'Flower Power' set and it's layered with some banner flags on top of a stamped background. I also used some Theresa Collins 'Sweet Afternoon' papers in beautiful pinks and yellows. The sentiment is stamped from the 'Details Framer' set and the golden flower is from Prima. I added some gold twine and a little bit of bling as the final touches.
The inside of the card has the same papers and design elements as the front. I added one small spray of stamped flowers and it's ready for some beautiful words.
Your next stop on the hop is the ever talented Amber at http://sew-ink.blogspot.com. Please check out her fabulous creation as well as all of the designers and then make sure you leave a comment at The Aviary to be entered in the Paper Wings give away!
