Autumn Wishes

Hi everyone!  I don't know about where you live but here in Colorado, Fall has definitely arrived.  We have a gorgeous fall season with lots of sunshine and cool nights with a bit of moisture here and there. Snow has fallen but we are still in the midst of an Indian Summer.  It is my second favorite season and the inspiration behind my card today.

Papertrey Ink has a new Make It Monday challenge: Layered emboss resist. Emboss resist is one of the most simple techniques out there but when you add layered stamping behind it, the results are stunning!

I used the hexagon shapes in the Rosie Posie stamp set to lay down my background in fall colors of orange and tan. Next, the leaf image of the set was clear embossed over the background and I used a  beautiful shade of scarlet to show off the resist areas.  Reminds me of leaves falling and floating on the breeze.

I kept the inside simple with lots of white space to write a nice hello.  In fact, I think I will send this to my Grandma and wish her a Happy Fall!

Thanks for checking out my blog!  Bee Happy!!
